Not even close to mathematically impossible. Win the rest of the games and we finish 5th or 6th. Win 6 out of the 8 and we probably sneak into the 8. Lose more than 2 and it becomes almost impossible.

No we're not. We're the worst in the AFL at this moment for accuracy. So we're apparently 8th...but it feels like 18th.

We're still one win outside the 8. We need results to go our way. Definitely not impossible. But we gotta win at least 6 of our next 8. Very close season says that it's very much possible.

Adelaide would do us a huge favour by losing tomorrow but can't see it happening. Gold Coast will lose to pies.

We play Adelaide, Cheatdogs, Freo and Gold Coast in our remaining games and they're just above us on the ladder. So those games are 8 point games.

I’ve watched a lot of football in my time, but until tonight I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse set shot then Tom Hickey’s effort in the 2nd quarter. Not only did he miss from 15 metres dead in front, he barely made the distance. Gee that was hard to watch.

so much of it is psychological, and i genuinely believe it's heeney's biggest problem at the moment ... it's more than just goalkicking yips, he dropped a sitter early tonight during the period he missed the two early set shots, and almost looked like he was getting in the way
but i think it's in his head, and i won't write him off

Some people will see out of form players as only ever playing to that level in the future, and that they must never have been any good. If it's not injury, it's mental, which can be overcome.

I was at the airport waiting at the top of the stairs to get Hulk Hogan and Rick Flair's autograph and up comes AB and sees me standing there with photos and pen in hand, for a brief moment there he had a glimmer and I had to devastatingly look away to not cause a bigger awkward moment.

Heeney did the same early on with set shots shockers in the Magpies game too. Sets the tone for the whole day (6.12 that day)
