Hickey used to be so reliable in front of goal too. What the hell happened? Is his knee really giving him that much of a problem that he can't hit a set shot?

He doesn't even seem to be able to jump anymore. He just kinda stands there at bounces.

I was at the airport waiting at the top of the stairs to get Hulk Hogan and Rick Flair's autograph and up comes AB and sees me standing there with photos and pen in hand, for a brief moment there he had a glimmer and I had to devastatingly look away to not cause a bigger awkward moment.

You didn't get the great man's autograph?

I’ve watched a lot of football in my time, but until tonight I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse set shot then Tom Hickey’s effort in the 2nd quarter. Not only did he miss from 15 metres dead in front, he barely made the distance. Gee that was hard to watch.

Yeah maybe his legs are just stuffed he didn't look likely , don't think he even wanted to take the second

Some people will see out of form players as only ever playing to that level in the future, and that they must never have been any good. If it's not injury, it's mental, which can be overcome.

yeah ... it's not that suddenly he's no good, or was never any good
it's fair to say that this season has probably been his worst, most frustrating in terms of impact on the scoreboard
it's so much more a mental thing than his physical skills

I was thinking maybe it was just psychological scarring from Geelong but I dunno anymore.

I mean, weirdly I still think he's more useful to the side than Ladhams, but when he misses shots like that man I dunno what to say. Cost the team.

Look. if he kicks straight his whole year looks different

If I had of known I so would have but all I had was a poster of Hulk Hogan from a Showbag and a really bad print out of Rick Flair from a photo copier.

I better stuff taking this off topic but this story isn't bad waiting for Hogan and Flair and AB pops in 😂

Campbell. A shining light in an infuriating game. Took a step up this year which is great to see. Living up to his early selection in the draft. Those kicks are phenomenal.

It's nice that Gulden and Blakey aren't the only super boots in the team.
Campbell keeps exceeding my expectations this year. Ruddy fantastic again tonight.

Bad luck guys.

Really felt lucky to walk away with 2 points.
Unbelievable miss by Fox in the final minute.

Bizarre season for both teams.
You should feel confident moving forward with such a young list. Gulden, Warner (watched another Warner in the reserves yesterday who went alright), McCartin, Blakey, McDonald, Hayward, lol you are stacked with future talent.
I reckon you need a quality ruckman. Hickey's been a warrior but if you had an elite ruck, it would really complement the team.

Really think we're noticing a Bud vacuum

He was a competitive giant and walking self esteem boost for every forward

Always knew things were covered if fit Bud was around

How do you replace a guy like that
