Round 16 trades

May I get a little advice please? This is my team

9 trades and 90K
I have 2 main goals the next fortnight - get Ablett and upgrade Oxley. 2 decisions I am struggling with is:

Who to downgrade:
1. I can downgrade Cripps (to Daniel) and upgrade Sloane (to Ablett), leaving me 255K for upgrades next week (this leaves Steele as M9).
2. Downgrade Boston (to Daniel), upgrading Sloane/Cripps (to Ablett) leaving me no money but Cripps or Sloane at M9.

Note M9 will replace Jelwood this week

Who to bring in this week:
1. (Cripps to) Ablett (as the best player in the game and set to go big)
2. (Oxley to) Picken (as Oxley is due to be subbed, 3rd game since sub, Seedsman on bench)

Note I will get the other the following week.

How should I go about it please??

the other temptation would be lever- mayanard sloane -- yeo this week. yeo would be great cover and youd have lots of dpp when finished.

I was top 1000 but I've slipped to top 5000 after past fortnight so would really appreciate some ideas. Thanks

edwards --- higgins then switch him back via goddard.
shiel --- sidebottom, imo. but youd have 550k odd for a mid.
gonna be hard to hide goddard if he keeps being the 1st emergency.
eaisier up front. think defense is your weakest line.

Defense is everyone's weakest line. I'm strongly considering just play Maynard/Hamling at D6 for a few weeks.

which is why fixing it and not having said weak line is a good pod.

Just looked at his team and his defense is actually fine despite having no D6. The other 5 players are all great picks. His midfield is a massive worry with Edwards, Mitchell, Neale, Ebert, Shiel. That definitely needs attention since by your theory most people have a POD midfield with the likes of Danger/Rockliff/Ablett.

id say of those mids rockys the only one $ wise jumping on.

Don't worry about D6, the mids are where the points are.

Edwards > Sidey
Shiel > Rocky

Despite still having Lever at D6 I am going to do McLean --> Daniel and Cripps --> Ablett. Cripps has been really good for us this year but I have the feeling this will be the lowest Ablett will be and if I don't get him in this week he might be heading into that unattainable territory. Just looking at averages upgrading Cripps to Ablett will probably yield me the same number of points as a Lever upgrade would and that isn't taking in Ablett as a captain option. With 6 trades left I should be able to upgrade Lever in a couple of weeks in any case.

Below is my team pre trades. I have had Smith and Krakouer to Ablett and Daniel (Newnes back to defence) set up all week, but now with the possibility of Krak getting a game (and having a negative break even), I'm now thinking:
This week: Smith and Selwood to Ablett and Daniel (or another rookie)
Next week: Krak to Rocky.


So, my question is, do I just do my original trades and keep Selwood, or do I go the extra mile and bring in Rocky next week? Or is there another trade that I'm completely missing?
Other options investigated and dismissed:
Smith and McKenzie to Ablett and Field. (Not enough cash)
Smith and Selwood to Ablett and Rocky (not enough cash)
Smith and Lever to Selwood and Maynard (Leaves my defensive bench weak considering Maynards JS)

No GAJ, Rockliff or Pendlebury could be a problem, I'd bring in one of those guys for sure.

I think you are on the money.
Ablett and Daniel this week, Rocky next is the way to go

Not really, I just thought Newnes was wasted in your midfield & rocky has a B/E of only 73

If you really want GAJ just get him in this week, you have the $

Either way, I would use a 2nd trade this week on a downgrade. Krak > Maynard, so you only have to use 1 trade next week to bring in one of GAJ/Rocky

Option 1:
Lonie > Daniel
Selwood > Ablett

Option 2:
Lonie > Maynard (via Steele)
Saad > Ablett (via Maynard)
Leaves Selwood/Lewis at M9 and requires an upgrade of Smith next week. I also lose my FWD/MID DPP link.

Any other alternatives/suggestions?

Mclean --> Daniel at the least. Then upgrade Cripps if you feel the need to.
