I had a look on their board. Their supporters seem to be more despairing than us, many of them have given up on the coach.

Personally I can't see us getting near them unless there's a re-vamp in the midfield. Hopefully Jones is ready and Clark must be close. Those two would make a big difference.

I love what Phillipou has done this year but on current form you'd have to think Billings would be an upgrade. It will be interesting to see how RTB plays it.

I hope this is finally the week we see some changes to the best 22. It's time.

We need to do something different up forward. May and Lever are going to have a field day if go out with the same set up we've been sticking too that we know doesn't work and only leads to opposition defenders dominating. I'd rather we try something different and it fails than roll out the same poor set up.

Highly doubt it. Dees coming back from a slog in Alice Springs, it’s at Marvel, and their form has generally also been far from convincing.

They’ve lost 4 of their last 6 games and are 17th for scoring over that period, averaging just 61 points per game. 71 inside-50’s today for 5 goals.

Also a good chance of losing one of their 2 reliable scorers, in Fritsch.

Both teams recent form suggests a low-scoring slog.

If you have a quick read of their preview thread, the sky is falling and all hope is lost for them as well. You’d think the two teams were 4th and 5th bottom:

We should take care of their form slump for them. They should start paying us to return teams to form.

Clayton Oliver will be back and completely revitalise the Dee's midfield just our luck fml

I just hope the boys realise the opportunity in front of them.
Win this game at home on our own deck, no pressure having to beat the lowest/worst team in the comp and the top 4 spot is ours.

Lever and May will have an absolutely field day, I would just like to see some run and gun handball chain football to score. Pies style.
Use the run and pace of NWM, Hill, Sincs, Webster, Butler. A boy can dream.

Hopefully he's out of form.

Billings looked like he was trying to keep his jumper clean in the VFL. Jones looked like the only one that might make a difference. Unless we wanted to bring in a ruck to play against their 2.

Battle is out. Concussion protocol means he cannot be selected. Do we go with Cordy or Sharman?

Phillipou looks like he could use a week without a game.

Stat of the week: we've won three games interstate since our last with at Docklands.
Like for like you would say Sharman deserves a full game but Cordy has been pretty consistently good in the VFL and probably deserves to play his proper position at the top level.

Philipou is well off it at the moment and I think a swap for Jones is the right move. Brings in something different to the midfield and honestly I think Jones will fit in well with the gameplan if hes allowed to just take the game on at every opportunity and remove the thinking aspect.

Cordy for Battle
Jones for Philipou
Sharman remains sub for the moment I suppose. Hes doing okay in the role and can fit in multiple positions.

Hill is the question. Does he pull up well from the knee tweak? Im going to bet he plays.

Melbourne haven’t been able to score of late. If we could somehow get our system back to where it was in the early part of the year we are a chance.

It really is hard to see us just flicking a switch and getting back to that early year system and structure though. It’s hard to understand how it’s dropped off so far.

Sharman all day long for me. At least he can kick the bloody thing.

I would also bring in Jones and Billings. Byrnes can have a rest with 1 of them being the sub.

Billings may not deserve it, but we are getting almost nothing from Byrnes. We will at least get a standard 15+ possession game from Billings.

Also, some decent field kicking would be nice. Byrnes just can't kick unfortunately.

Jones had 35 touches on the weekend in the VFL, Paton 31. They're the potential ins for Hill and Ross if injured, or others on form.

23 handball!
Be nice if we could see a meters gained stat on there, they seem to leave it blank
I fell asleep but he looked ok from what i saw.

Certainly be interesting to see if he is given another week in the twos or comess straight back in

Did he play the whole game?
They don't show the TOG stat either on the afl sitrsite

Stroll in the park for Melbourne.

May to get 25 intercept marks and 300 supercoach.

Couldn't get on fast enough for a demons bet.
