This Ham thing is so weird. He was shocking in the twos last week. Not sure I’ve ever seen a more undeserving player be given unlimited chances, irrelevant of form.
it's so ****ing bizarre:

"Ham was a solid contributor in the VFL, notching 15 disposals."

Had a feeling leading into the St.Kilda game that we got them at a good time. Likewise again this week, couldn’t be a better opportunity to knock them off.

wouldn't mind wiping that smile from Joe's face. hope we beat those bunch of tossers.

wouldn't bank on it, but they are ripe for the picking with those outs.

Even with all their outs its still going to be hard to win considering they basically started last week from a position with nearly no injuries.
So they still have plenty of quality there throughout the field.

But who knows. Its definitely good timing for us no matter how you slice it but you get that in an AFL season. eg we copped West Coast with their players back and didn't get them when they were easy beats so its all swings and roundabouts.

Am I delusional starting to think we have some chance here...I mean they have 7 players out so if we can stop Joe & Charlie running amok then maybe we are sneaky chance...?!?! I’d go with Lav on Joe - and McGrath against Charlie Cameron...

Hope we line up something like;-

Zerk Lav McGrath
Heppell Redman Hind
Martin Shiel Durham
Guelfi Langford Hobbs
2MP Stringer Jones

Draper Parish Merrett

Bench: Caldwell Snelling D’Ambrosio Ridley
SUB: Kelly

In: McGrath, Ham, Phillips, Waterman.

No outs yet, Parish named.

Rutten should be sacked for his instance of calling up Ham every other week.

Ham as a travelling emergency makes a lot of sense. Better to let the young guys who desperately need VFL games stay in Melbourne and take guys like Ham & Waterman up who are mature and experienced enough to go without - and likely to be delisted.
