What a dumb take. Has been pretty much the only one who's been able to grab the ball in the air in the entire quarter, with a few on the wing/near the 50 which stopped the Pies run and a big one in the back line basically saving a goal.

Both kicking turnovers at d50 have been targeting Shiel, who is not attacking the ball. He should not be a congestion marking target.
Maybe a coincidence, but where there is smoke, there is fire.

I've said it before, but "lucky to only trail by X" is always a curse.

The number of times we had to fight through half the Pies' entire list in our forward 50 while they can waltz around untouched in theirs is nuts. Need to really clean up around halfback too.

I'd be curious why.

He did what I wanted with selection. If we still had Heppell and Goldstein out there I'd be filthy at him too.

But this is the players.

He hasn't changed much at all, that is the problem. This is the same team, in pretty much the same positions that have been dishing up rubbish for 6 weeks.

At least he bought back a past it midfielder that we'll trade at seasons end, that is something.
