Cunningham's first game back, Florent played predominantly on the wing/mid. He was poor. Best used off HB flank.
I didn't disagree with you at all. I think they should play Florent at HB, Cunningham as a small defender. I'd push Lloyd up the ground personally.

Anyway, what the club should do and will do are sometimes different things. Don't think it's a valid reason to leave our best small defender out of the team (assuming form).

Edit: Also a couple of other positions Cunningham could fill if the backline is to be left alone.

Dale is the answer for who Clarke should go to, just like Hind was last week, Sinclair the week before.

There we go. Yep not playing Clarke in Hind was so dumb and then Hind is BOG or close to it.

Yeah not sure why we didn't keep Clarke in to play on Hind.

clarke and cunningham to save the day

let's just pick Taylor and Bell

Paul Chambers could come back too

Meanwhile back to this weeks Whipping Boys ladder, we find ourselves with too many options and not enough rungs ! From calls of dropping papley, to Logan and to our usual whipping boys I can only put forward the ‘anyone’s guess’ whipping boys ladder:
1. Campbell
2. Stephens
3. Macdonald

Who will redeem themselves and make things happen, who will be a passenger and watch things happen and who will have NFI and wonder ‘what happened’ …. Only 7 brings it to you live and free.

jpk possibly returns this week. hope he's straight into the mids, none of this hb/wing s**t

I'm his biggest defender on here at times when the champion is being death rided, but even I say no way. Must come back through the reserves to get match fitness before consideration.

So true. If we're counting on shuffling the deck chairs with our fringe best 22 to turn it around without a significant improvement in our stars (Heeney, Mills, JMac, Papley, Lloyd), then we might as well give up for 2022.

If McDonald plays this week they are taking the piss. He can be the next coming of Wayne Carey for all I care and lets hope he is but he needs to go back. Currently way out of his league.

I have heard that the decision to finish at year's end has been made & he'll probably get a send of game.

Probably when we are out of the finals race after this week's game against Dogs

If we bring him straight into the seniors we are in even more dire straits than what we think.
Agreed. I've been one of Kennedy's biggest supporters on here. But if we're relying on Kennedy to be the answer to our woes, then we're in serious trouble. At this stage in his career, he'd be doing a minimum 1 or 2 games in the reserves before getting a recall. And if/when he comes back, he won't be the answer, at best he may be able to provide some stability in the midfield to allow the others to prosper. We're essentially in the 3rd year of his decline, he hasn't been peak Kennedy since 2019. I hope he can come in and play a role for us, but given he's coming back from a significant hamstring injury I just don't see it.
