We waited so long for the "perfect opportunity" to bring Reeves in. Now he's out again and we're back to getting smashed by oppo rucks.

Not ideal for Callow to debut on May and Lever, but who cares? Just give him the shot and start his development.

BTW - i didn't think there was any serious issue with Kossie

I blame the midfield coaching. We have an inside mid who is the number one possession getter in the AFL and we can’t translate that into stoppage play where we at least break even? The midfield seem to all play as individuals. There’s no predictable “Mitch->Worp->JOM->clearance” pattern. Do they practice that? Every stoppage seems an unplanned scrabble.
Most of his possessions are nor from clearances they are general play.
As a clearance player doesn't rank top 10

To be fair, we hardly have a player that ranks top 10 in anything.

TOM is #2 for disposals, #1 for handballs, #2 for uncontested possessions
Hardwick is #5 for rebounds.
Frost is #8 most for frees against.
Impey is #7 for bounces.

And that's it.

Hmmm... this from the AFL's Fantasy Draft flyer for 2021 is the only place I've found that defines a clanger with any sort of authority. From the definition here a clanger is "something that goes wrong." Which is kind of useless for any meaningful analysis.

Not quite right... or not exactly a clear definition.

A blind bomb out of your D50 that is marked by an opposition standing by themselves is not deemed a clanger nor is it deemed an inefficient disposal. Reason being that the player has moved the ball more the 1 possession away from their opposition's goal.

This this this !!! Titch and Worpel can win it but there's nothing like at other clubs where Jaeger (whos classy and has speed) runs through or any of our wings or half backs are running through and getting it forward..

I agree. His efficiency isn't great. But this guy can find the footy in a poor team with a sh*t ruckman. And he's got no real support from other mids.
He had 80% on the weekend with 400+ metres gained. Hardly poor with 7 clearances aswell, just isn't getting the score involvements because he's digging it out to no one. Midfield connection is poor.

I simply can't see how we'll win this game, we'll get smashed in the ruck, smashed in the midfield, don't have anyone to seriously trouble May and Lever even when we do get it forward and lots of our rebounding intercept defenders are injured. Praying we only lose by 8 goals as opposed to something really disastrous.

Moore 3rd for tackles inside 50.

I hate the fact we may start to need gifting games or playing kids who are not ready but our injury list has stuffed that up.

Out: Jiath (inj), Scrimshaw (inj), Kosi (managed), McEvoy (managed)
In: Hardwick, Newcombe, Lewis, Reeves

On reading the scratch match notes, maybe switch it to

Out: Jiath (inj), Scrimshaw (inj), Mitchell/O'Meara/Shiels/Phillips/Worpel (managed)
In: Hardwick, Newcombe, Morris

Our backline won't have more openings than this weekend. Let's see if Morris clicks.

Might get Hardwick back

Day out for another month

2 weeks in a row where injured players don’t appear in this report. Day then Hardwick.
Expect another this week. Kosi and JOM most likely.
Hawks quietly slip Day ‘out for 4 weeks’ into the list this week after not quite coming up last week 🤔😬😂
