If we're going to give credit where credit is due, then I have to criticise him as well, so I'm Not sure I liked Carr's call to sub out Lycett. He might not have been playing well but playing Finlayson (who wasn't having a good game) and Dixon (moving like a 90 year old) as the rucks was asking for trouble.

Once again, the ruck looms as a massive issue and I don't think we've got a plan to fix it.
Unless he was injured - subbing Lycett cost us

Teakle back for the Showdown lol

Which is why it amazes me when people here get so on edge and start doing the math on top two finishes. It's beyond my comprehension how anybody could think on available evidence that we're a better chance of winning a prelim at home than on the road.

It’d help if any of the doyens in the footy media made a note of just now p¡ss poor our record at Adelaide Oval is.

Can you imagine if West Coast only went at barely 50% in night games at Subi from say, 1995-2005?

There’d be an army of ouija-board toting soothsayers trying to cleanse the joint of evil spirits.

Over here?

Nobody really notices beyond, ‘now that you mention it, I do routinely feel like walking in front of a tram while trying to find my car in the dark…’

We played as well as we could?
  • Garbage from lycett in ruck
  • wines 2 kicks...
  • Dixon with a walking frame
  • nothing from Evans or Mac and cheese
  • aliir dropping marks he usually gobbles
  • defenders spoiling each other
  • poor accuracy

It was great pressure, but we have heaps of room for improvement, which is a good thing.
Trouble is, those things don't improve. We see most of them every week.

Farrell’s tap over the line was deliberate. They had been paying less all game. However, his dropped mark should have at least been a free. The Collingwood player just took him out without going for the ball.
Felt sorry for Farrell not sure what other choice he had. Dives on it it’s holding the ball.. taps it through for a point it’s a free, needed to fumble it across the line maybe.. the umps love those frees.. missed all the dropping of the ball, except SPPs
But love a deliberate free..

Number 12 ump is a massive campaigner
