When talking about Cox, Fly is like.."We have players fit to play but are they fit to perform?" Given he's been out for 6 weeks, and only been in full training for a couple days...

Not likely to play this week then. Back to play against his favourite team, Richmond.

That's a healthy serving of reality from the coach.

Big Mase would have lost fitness during his recovery, such is the nature of his injury.

Hope he can be back playing at his best soon but you wouldn't blame the club for giving him a week (or 2) in the VFL.

The team is already carrying some troops not at 100% e.g. JDG and Pendles.

I find it interesting I am just as anxious for team selection as the start of a game.

Understandable given how weirdly inconsistent and just plain baffling selection has been for much of the year.

Combined with the fact that it has sometimes contributed to costing us games

Wouldn't mind seeing McStay, Krueger and Cox up forward. Krueger is pretty quick and can apply good pressure for a bigger forward.

INS: McStay, Howe, Cox
OUTS: Schultz (inj), Markov, Long/McInnes

B - Quaynor Frampton Howe
HB - Maynard Moore Noble
C - J.Daicos N.Daicos Sidebottom
HF - DeGoey Krueger WHE
F - Elliott McStay Hill
R - Cameron Crisp Pendlebury
INT - Cox Lipinski Richards McInnes/Long
SUB - Harrison
Any reason why Harrison would be the sub? Or is this just the team list you'd like to see against the Hawks?
Harrison has been good overall. He keeps improving with each game.

If Dan plays, he won't have to do too much - just be a big bugger in our forward line, contest, take the odd mark, bring the ball to ground.
He's a forward, so he knows what to do
Freddy can roam a bit, because we know he can kick sausages from outside 50.
