As a lot of us speculated without being confident the trigger would be pulled.

Expecting the mighty warrior Liam Shiels to play around 15-16 games this season occasionally making way for the youth of tomorrow to gain exposure.

Does that mean Phillips is out or he could be the sub again.

The direction is very clear now. We will have many senior players leaving come the end of this year.

Magginness staying in is a massive show of faith

Yeah Phillips would still be listed as an omission even if he was to come in and be sub again.

Sub will come from an emergency so Phillips could still be it. Other emergencies are Howe, Long and Kosi.

Shiels had a good game against North, youth policy is fine but this one feels a little forced. Others could have been dropped before Shiels.
Agree he was ok against North, but I still like the move.

Who else would you drop if not Shiels? Wouldn't think it would be wise to drop Worpel, Maginness, Morrison

I spent all summer hoping that senior players would get dropped instead of young players needing assistance, but I never truly expected it to happen

Really happy with the direction the club is going with this, and really hoping Shiels' can head into the 2's and do great things with our other youngsters!

Jaeger or Worpel (although he goes against the youth policy)

Doubt he'll play for BHH if he's being "managed"

I think they have nailed the team selection on every line! Even the interchange is spot on with the bottom four, currently based on form & injury!

There will be no complaining this year the young guys aren't given every chance!
