Can’t believe people aren’t picking Day. If he got through todays hit out, he’s a must.

in: Day, Breust, McEvoy, Kosi
Out: Maginess, Worpel, Nash, Lynch

Would like to see Mitchell persist with, DGB, Ward and MacDonald
Are we bringing in Kosi just... because?

Is Dixon likely to come back? I thought a few weeks ago they were saying Round 2 or 3
Nash plays.
It is like people don't notice what happens to centre clearances when he goes in there. We go from uncompetitive early to getting on top after half time.

Forward structure looks decent...let's bring in someone who isn't a natural forward...

Think it worked fine today
Plus McEvoy as the 2nd ruck is likely to spend time down there

Those are some big outs if true.

We generally go allright over in Adelaide so we are not without a sneaky chance....
There’s absolutely no pressure on us IMO. Remember most have us finishing bottom 4 so you’d think we can play loose and just give it a good crack which is a dangerous thing for a team who is expected to contend right now. Reckon Hinkley will be feeling it this week.

McGuiness had a crack but feel he's not up to it yet. Burnt it a few times noticeably
Lynch won't play

I like Kosi but Lewis looked ominous in the first half especially so keep the forward structure for now

Would like to see Day back but no need to rush him
You are probably right but I think the mountain of work he has done in the preseason and the effort he applied in the match should be reward with a decent go in the seniors. More than anything else, he needs continuity of football to develop as he hasn’t had it in the first two years on the list.

Gee, a lot of you want to swing the axe after a win.

Out: Lynch, Phillips
In: McEvoy, Breust

If Day is being brought straight back in then I'm not sure who makes way for him. I feel like Finn deserves some continuity.
Shiels to sub perhaps?
I reckon this is the move.

Unless some injuries come from the game.

I think Shiels needs to start on the ground (starting 22) too many players sub 50 games to have a leader as a sub specially playing a top 5 side in Port

He offers more than the guys he’s replacing-simples
Who is he replacing specifically? What more does he offer? To me he was great last year when we needed him but he is obviously not a natural forward and that would cause issues with Gunston back.

He offers us a legitimate target up forward. We disagree on his ability to play as a forward. 27 goals in 20 games last year was a fair return. He has a strong lead, a good pair of hands and a sound set shot technique- all prerequisites for a forward. I’m prepare to sacrifice a midfielder for a key forward, given the modest returns of the three I’ve mentioned.

Maybe, if they were all stay at home forwards. But they aren’t
McEvoy will come back and probably play 50% forward as well and then you add Kosi on top of that

The depth of players who ran through the middle was a big reason why we ran all over them in the 2nd half

We'll probably need to drop 2 mids, to bring in Day and Breust, McEvoy for Lynch.

Hartigan for DGB (if Dixon is playing)

The two mids is between, Shiels, Nash and Finn.

I'd go Shiels and Nash out, Nash was good but didn't win much of it and i liked Finns versatility.

IN:
Breust, Day, McEvoy
OUT:
Shiels, Nash, Lynch (con)
