Doubt Croc will be sub. He hasn’t quite been at his best but was still good last week. If not Harry, then might be Finn with Gunston back as the second tall forward.

He was in the coaches votes.

Good ins - have to start Gunston in the defensive role on weitering and HMo to sub. Would like to see Maginness on either a wing to run with Acres who is underrated in the metres he gains for them and especially in the wet, or cooling Saad and getting dangerous the other way. Game made for the Wizard they have no quick small defenders he should dine out. Impey weddle CJ on right wing exploding down the flanks and one covering for them defensively is a tantalising proposition. Hawks to run away with it at the end by 6 goals!

I feel as though Morrison is a player you simply trust in any weather conditions, plus he's earned the starting spot.
CJ I'm not as convinced of in driving rain, however I know most on here are adamant that he'll never be played as a sub. Personally it wouldn't shock me if he was eased back in this way.

Actually quite unsure what we'll do in this regard. With Gunston in, could Maginness reassure the sub role??

I feel for Frosty. I worry for him too. We lose a tall defender to injury/suspension, and what happens? He gets dropped too, when you least expect it. Concerning.

I hope he’s able to drag himself back in, He’s been a great servant and soldier of the club.

He missed most of preseason and has been sub the last 2 weeks. He needs more game time for fitness. Hes not ready for a Curnow or McKay. I’m surprised he got up for round 1.

Yes the sub rule is putrid.

Late era Clarko really mucked up some things and his sub rule sits right at the top of the list of stuff ups for me.

Yeah probably the likely matchups, unless we do the Weddle to Curnow as relief thing again which we’ve done a few times.

I feel like the way port played against us last year has been the best way to negate it, just repeatedly coming off their man to pressure the receiver but I’d imagine it’s a taxing way to play for 4 quarters. Or Geelong with the way they back themselves to turn it over at some point and just have numbers everywhere.

I’m not too worried, squads win premierships not teams and he will definitely have a role to play going forward.

I think the fact we have a player of his quality as depth is a great sign.
