As trash as we were last week, I actually think we will win and win relatively comfortably. Early prediction is Freo by 30.
Sydney aren’t as good as they were last year and are still adjusting to a new gameplan. Without Gulden we only need to limit one of Heeney or Warner and we win. Looking at the team sheets now I reckon we have them covered on every line. I’m hoping this confidence is founded and not arrogance.
We need a big response because another loss at home to an 0-2 undermanned Sydney with a new coach and I reckon JL can just about start packing his bags.

Sydney with a lot of important players out, we're at home after a dour performance in Geelong, everything seems set up for a close win in the most Dockery style possible.
Yeah I don't think there is any good reason to have confidence. Sydney have outs but we have enough of our own to just about cancel them out.
Imagine if we win tomorrow, like really bury them.

The only thing that really worries me is our forward half pressure which is already an area we need to improve upon, and with Switkowski not playing Blakey might have a field day strolling out of our 50 unopposed.
If our forwards could take some marks this week that would go a long way. Outmarked 17-8 inside 50 last week. Treacy in particular dropped a few he’d usually take. Expecting better tomorrow.
