Given Banfield out for Fyfe seems to be the popular option, is the proposal that Fyfe then plays permanent forward? Or one of the other mids?

We came from behind to win on the road at an unhappy hunting ground..not many changes will be made.

Walters was surprisingly good in the last preseason at Optus and will stay. Henry probably gets anther chance also, they worked well together in that Eagles game.

Fyfe and Darcy have to come in..Banfield didn't do enough and Meek has to make way unfortunately. Tabs won't get up.

Swear I saw Henry lace it out inside 50 that resulted in goals and the commentators were singing his praises for other acts of play, but eh the consensus is pretty strong here haha
He made quite a few mistakes but like Walters/Treacy/Frederick/Banfield was in the f50 for our terrible 3rd quarter and early 4th where the ball was played a lot between the Centre and Adelaide forward half. So each weren’t high possession getters.

There was that strange decision of Henry in the last to take a bounce right in front of an Adelaide player on the boundary. I don’t know if there were no options up the ground but no boune and a handball along the boundary which I’ve seen him do at WAFL and PSA to chase along the line would be better option. There were times where he hesitated to tackle and put pressure on as well.

0 disposals in the last quarter (& 1 for the last half) is pretty poor when we needed run & dare in the last from our half back & wingers.

Big shout out to Switta..18 possessions (and 6 tackles) while all the other small for/mids were in the all too usual single figures.
well he was the only one getting time in the midfield so should be expected, but yes he looked about the only one who stood up in that last, elite player

lot of talk about the forwards but how do you expect them to do anything when the midfield gets completely over run? couldnt tell you where serong was that 3rd quarter, barely saw any of mundys usual incisive kicks, and i dont think brodie got on the ground at all that last quarter. brayshaws a soldier though

very let down by the backline too, theyre supposed to be our strong point and got pantsed by a first gamer. cox was shocking, ryan was anonymous and pearce can be so fumbly. clark was very good early, logue was good too though

Just doesn’t get enough of it.

People were saying he was training hard this year but it seems like it is the same old Henry - good in the first half looks AFL level… then utterly anonymous in the second half.

Also disappointed about how easily he was knocked off the ball and the line of the ball, which obviously contributes to him not getting it as much as he should. Needs to get stronger in the contest.

Not sure if this is the right place but what is the the procedure to secure membership seats for the game given reduced capacity?

Have we become less flexible with what positions our players are in?

in the past we would have players like Cerra and Aish who would move between hbf and wing. Midfielders resting on the flanks.

Which of the forwards have a genuine capacity to play other roles? Lobb does.Switkowski. But the rest seemed more fixed in position.

Really enjoyed the run from defense. In the pre-season we saw the hbf-er group pushing right up and locking the ball into the forward line. Young and Chapman especially.

I do get what you're saying, but it feels like some of our forwards need to work on being forwards first before even thinking about other positions.

Acres and Brodie both had good games and people are calling for them to be dropped. Yeah real nice standard to set for your team.

"Oh you played well last week? That's great, you're not playing this week."
Isn't that just good depth when that happens? Meek played well but he'll be out this week if Darcy is fit.
Also you can turn the argument around, if a guy at Peel is doing everything asked and banging the door down, isn't it setting a team standard to reward that?
I mean I agree that I would be dropping neither, but only because there were others that were worse

I'd say Brodie would play more forward, he is good at kicking for goal and would be way better than Banfield at forward 50 stoppages.

Sounds like he was forward for all the 3rd and start of the 4th, I didn't notice either just what people have said. Which would explain the big drop off.

The problem is there were others who played worse that should get dropped before Brodie, Meek is different because of his position, I would leave him in and leave Lobb permanently forward until Tabs is back. Meek was blowing up in the 3rd & 4th quarters.
