Lucky not to have lost by more, nice to see freo play their grand final against us but hopefully it’s shown us how hard and fast we need to work and hopefully we have found out about what players should and shouldn’t be playing. Round 2, no need to throw the baby out just yet. Green was good in his 100th, Saad good in his 50th. Smith BOG; Hepp looks like he's back in pre-saga form; Goddard, Parish Stewart OK. And no shocking injuries like the Pies v GWS game.

Played like shit, got closer than we should have, but not the sky is falling type of thing.

Zach looked out of sorts all night yet was still our best contested player. It's ridiculous we snapped up Smith on the cheap, the bloke is a gun, runs all day and is a tackling machine. Saad is a ripper too, missing him for a chunk of the 3rd while he got some work done hurt us.

Brown not great but in the backline you are only as good as your midfield being prepared to work and we are deadset lazy. Stringer isn’t a midfielder. Langford couldn’t get a kick or make a decision even if he was playing in a local league in Denmark. Daniher needs to do a fish and play ruck or go to full back over the fence. Zaka and Walla go missing too easily. And kicking round corners ffs our skill level is atrocious . We are honestly a soft football side
