1. Respect for being a club legend is different to current playing form
2. All players should be treated equally. Reputation should not be taken into account
3. Out of form players effect the momentum of a team
4. Ryano has nor shown anything so far to suggest he is going to even begin to play well.
5. Sometimes kicking the dew up in the Twos is a good wake up call.
6. We cannot afford to take out of form players into any match at the moment. As a group we are not playing that well.
7. It sends a really negative message if an O'Keefe, Jack, McVeigh, Goodes is treated differently to a player such as say Parker, Mitchell, BJ or Towers. It divides the team.

Pebbles has the runs on the board have some faith, a champion and he will find a way its only week two (one game and one quarter)don't hit the panic button yet.

6: Midfield , Mitchell , Parker , Kennedy are all extractors and are fighting between themselves for the ball and once its comes out we have no players spreading from the contest ( Macca HBF and Hanners playing more inside now after Macca was playing so good in the pre season comp collecting 30+ and a couple of goals ala start of 2013 etc , why he is not playing wing/mid is beyond me with Shaw back).

Punts I think the problem has been trying to make inside mids out of Hannas, Harry, Jett & Kizza. What for if they are on the inside who the hell is on the outside

I agree with a few of your points, but have to disagree completely with #2, #4 and #7. All players are not equal and certainly shouldn't be treated equally. They should all be treated with equal amounts of respect, of course, but not treated the same as they aren't the same.

Example 1 - If Kennedy is coming back from injury, there is no need to put him back through the 2s (as he has demonstrated he is an absolute class player), whereas it's definitely acceptable for one of the younger, unproven players (ie Gary Rohan) to spend some time in the reserves first. The same goes with players out of form.

Example 2 - O'Keefe has proven for a large number of years that he is an absolute jet and has battled back from poor form patches before, but Tom Mitchell hasn't proven his worth over such a long time and if he hit poor form, he would have a much shorter leash.

Example 3 - Goodes and LRT are both getting on in age and are being / have been held back from full training to make sure they can overcome injuries, whereas younger, more resilient bodies are put back into full training as soon as possible after injuries.

I can guarantee you that whilst there might be the slightest underlying resentment from the younger guys seeing some of the more established players get more of a chance, that is overwhelmed almost completely from the knowledge that they haven't done enough to deserve more of a chance yet. I don't think it divides the team at all. In fact, a premature dropping of a senior player has much more potential to create disunity.

All that being said, I think O'Keefe is dangerously close to being given a stint in the reserves.

Pretty sure Last year we were 1 or 2 for long kicks ( Carlton might be the other one ) and its looking like we are taking the same plan into this year.
1: Coming out of defence , Kick long to Pyke or Reid and hopefully they are one out and take the contested mark.
2: Kick long to Pyke or Reid even if they are out number and try and get the ball out of bounds if there un able to take the grab.
3: Kick/bomb to who ever and try and get it over the back ( Slingshot ) or just kick it to Maxwell.
4: Forward line , Bomb it on top of Buddys head even if he has 2 defenders on him( never been a contested mark ) or bomb it to Pyke/Tippett at the top of the goal square and don't worry about using any other of the forwards if there are on the lead.
5: The back 6 look for Mal far to much so Stop Mals run and it all starts to fall apart and your half way to winning.
8 : How many times we get the break on the HB and look up and no one to kick to because we are pushing up the ground waiting for the slingshot is crap as teams don't get sucked in anymore and defenders stay back and take the easy mark ala Pies
7 : Longmire has been out coached by Cameron who coaches GWS yes GWS and now Buckley lol and he has been outcoached the last 6 months. Coaches have worked out the slingshot simple as that and has been proving. Its time to come up with a new game plan John and co and have a forward line that's works and stop pushing everyone up the ground waiting for the slingshot , have Buddy , Tippett to stay a lot closer to goal because if we wanted to play Buddy as a midfielder we should have just waited for Dangerfield next year and would solve out pace in the midfield issue.

Sorry to keep going on but its not looking promising and I cant see an easy fix even if some are hoping Tippett will change things it wont. That game on the weekend was an absolute joke from the coaches box.

its like you put my frustrations into coherent sentences. I would like this if i still had a like button!
