Kosi makes most sense if we are focusing more on the win, but feels like his papers have been stamped.

Time to see what Ryan can bring I'd have thought. DGB obviously out.

Meek for Reeves the obvious one.

Long and Frenchie are the two next in line to come in, but there is not a clear spot in the midfield for them. DGB out of the forward line should be for Ryan, Ramsden or Kosi.

I’d personally go with Reeves and DGB out, Meek and Ryan in. Frenchie to sub for Long.

We can't go with Kosi. Time to move on. 1 good 3 bad. We've seen this cycle time and time again. He doesn't have a contract. Let's look forward.
I don't think he's the answer long term or at all, but he plays a far better decoy role than any others we have on our list. If he plays at this stage it's not for the furthering of his career, it's for Lewis' game only.

Out: DGB, Long, Reeves
In: Kosi, Frenchy (Sub), Meek

Reckon Seamus could count himself lucky to stay in the side.

We all imagine DGB comes out this week. If that is the case, we really have 3 realistic options for that role:
  • Kosi, after kicking 4, to come in and offer a foil for Lewis - go back to the last game against the Saints.
  • Ryan to come in for a debut - he can find the ball, but he is very slight of build, which could make it difficult for him
  • Ramsden to come in and play forward and a stint in the ruck - hasn't played any game time in the past 2 weeks after going into concussion protocol.
I would be leaning towards Kosi coming in, as he plays that forward foil role well for Lewis.

Meek will come in for Reeves and it is a good opportunity for Meek. When he competed as the sole ruck against Melbourne, when Reeves was a late out, he did a really good job.
Frenchy looking good at Box Hill, but who drops out of the midfield for him to get a run? CMac is doing a good job of the forward mid role and Ward is doing well on the wing. The midfield is the toughest to crack into currently.

Frenchy for Long for me. Long didn’t have any impact as a sub, Frenchy has when playing that role.
Weddle also looking a bit tired. Wouldn’t mind Jeka or Serong getting a go in the backline.

Only changes I would make is Ryan or kosi in for dgb and meek in for reeves. Should win this game I reckon, we smashed the tigers for 3 quarters and saints are pathetic

I want to give Jek the last 5 games. It would be at the expense of Frost. But we need to know. If he gets injured again or can't hack it then we are done. He just has great skills and does play well behind the ball. His intensity has always been questioned up forward but he was looking good down back before we threw him forward again this year and he got injured again. It may not happen because Blank has done nothing wrong and deserves his place in the team ahead of Jek. It will be interesting selection night

I'm all for winning games but you'd have to expect a few younger guys to get a look in here as this game looks way too winnable

Jack won't go out on his performance. Finn might not either he may have a job on Sinclair
Agreed. It has little to do with his performance, more to do with BMac’s performance at BH. If we’re not going to have good look at some of the kids running around at Box Hill now, when are we going to do it? Interesting that most posters have been pretty conservative with ins and outs this week. Given where we are, winning this week shouldn’t be the soul consideration.

Watched him closely on the weekend, played a very similar role to Sicily.
Can we have 2 in the side or does Sicily push to a wing?

I think BMAC has next year so there is no hurry. it would be players that are uncontracted that we would need a good look at. I think some players already know while others are fighting for the next contract
