Round 20 Captains

This week again has some interesting options outside of the usual suspects, maybe the most interesting would be Thompson of Adelaide. Averaging 130 in the past 5 games against the Hawks is huge in itself, add to that, he averages 14 more points against Hawthorn than he does against anyone else over his career!

Priddis has had that 1 massive game against North of 166 and he averages the second most points against the Kangaroos, (first being Hawthorn).

The Geelong vs Sydney game played at ANZ Stadium has happened twice before. Below are the player averages from those two games

Ablett = 106
Corey = 91
Bartel = 101

At the Gabba, Cooney averages 98 over 4 appearance, Boyd 95 over 5 games, while Cross has a low average of 65 over 6 games there.

Didak has averaged 102 at the MCG this year, while Kane Cornes averages 88 at home this year.

Any thoughts?

Having the week off in both leagues, I'll look to chose someone different to hopefully the jump in overall ranking. And looking at those stats, Pavlich is the man - or maybe Broughton?

Pavlich front-runner at the moment with Kornes, J Selwood, Bartel or Riewoldt (if he plays) being other options.

P.S Nice new layout, easier to navigate:thumbsu:

Pavlich looks like a good option, but didnt look quite right yesterday. Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Hayes and Didak are the other options i am considering at the moment.

If Hayes is selected i think i'll go with him, otherwise i'll have to split ABS once again which i can never get right.

Mitch Clark could be an option for those who have him - incredible run of form.

Didak maybe a safe bet depending on how the Tiges match up on him. Assuming Jackson runs with Swan could King take Didak? Or Medhurst.

Hard week for captains actually.

I noticed Pavlich aggravate a groin very late in the second quarter of the Western Bulldogs v Freo game last week. It obviously wasn't enough to stop him playing, but he looked a bit off for the rest of the game and didn't score well at all in the last quarter IIRC.

Could mean nothing, but if he was struggling to get going yesterday (I didn't see any of the game) there might be a little more to it.

Spent shitloads of time on the bench this week...

One from left field could be Brad Johnson.

Last 6 against Brisbane (2005-2008): 117, 147, 135, 114, 112, 88 (Ave: 119)
Last 4 at Gabba (2005-2008): 117, 135, 114, 88 (Ave: 114)

Locking in Didak, my other options are either coming back from injury or are Geelong players up against Sydney and I don't trust my Captain to be under either of those conditions.

Quite Pissed with Ablett over last two weeks, so may change. Going out on Saturday night so maybe Bartel, but on the other hand if i take (c) away from him he will go BANG

Great work as usual Beanie. :thumbsu:

Jimmy loves playing the swans so i'll lock him in. Agreed Skank, Mitch Clark's form has been amazing lately averaging 117 over the last 5. At home against Minson and Hudson he should dominate, his versatility around the ground will be far too much for them.

gonna try something because im into prelims for all league games
might go broughton/pav or sandilands coz they are playing melb

Thanks Cartman121, I appreciate that, it does take a couple of minutes to prepare :):thumbsu:

Hopefully this weeks thread is a little easier to understand than the usual slab of numbers that I post :eek:

i wouldnt be picking didak because i have noticed in the past few weeks rawlings has been dishing out quite a few tagging jobs and didak has been struggling with a man running with him..i expect jake king will go to him
