After an interesting trip across to Adelaide to take on Port the Tigers return back to Melbourne for the remainder of the season, with their first assignment being a clash with last years premiers Collingwood who will be quite desperate to win this game to try and remain in the hunt for a finals spot. The Pies have been woeful the last month with 4 straight losses to drop from 4th to 13th but still remain just 6 points outside of the top 8. Like us the Pies have been hit by injuries this year but not to the degree that we have been with them having used 37 players so far this season compared to our 37.

As it stands Richmond will have as many as 18 players on the injury list this week with Nankervis Ryan & Hayes-Brown all likely to miss this week due to injury. We should see Taranto back from concussion, while Maurice could return as well, Vlastuin & Graham who both missed the Port game will both need to get through this week on the track to be in contention for a return, while Martin appears unlikely to return based on a very light session Monday.

So given the issue with the injuries what could we see happen this week. The ruck is going to be the big issue this week if all 3 available ruckmen end up being unavailable. It would mean one of Balta Miller or Koschitzke get thrown into the ruck against Cameron and possibly Cox. What should help somewhat with the ruck issue, is that we should have our first choice midfielders available with Taranto Hopper & Prestia all likely to line up in the middle which hopefully allows us to at least breakeven in the clearance battle.

Up forward it would appear that it will be Koschitzke as the sole KPF target with a bunch of small/medium forwards as support, unless we bring Blight back in and send Balta back forward again, which will just continue to mess with us being able to settle him in a role. Unfortunately this is a consequence of the ongoing injury issues.

Predicted Line Up:

Out: Nankervis Dow Sonsie McIntosh
In: Blight Taranto Vlastuin Graham

B:Blight Miller Broad
HB: D.Rioli Vlastuin Trezise
C: Ralphsmith Taranto Banks
HF: Campbell Baker Mansell
F: Balta Bolton Koschitzke
R: Ryan Hopper Prestia
INT: Short Graham Smith Brown Green

broad and short seriously need to be dropped
Sick of the free games
Standards have dropped so much at our club and these 2 continuing to play every game is a farce
Don't necessarily disagree, but with the injuries we've got it's a bit difficult.

If we play Kosi as a solo forward then he will get Moore as his opponent. He will be lucky if he ever touches the ball much less get a disposal. Miller doesn’t have an obvious matchup in defence. Maybe Kosi and Miller play forward/ruck with Bauer and Blight. What do we have to lose. The Collingwood forward line is nearly as devastated as ours with mainly mid sized players. Balta Brown and Broad would be a reasonable matchup.

If this coach yze has any balls he should be dropping the likes of short and Macintosh if he can’t see how much of a liability they are in the team and the softness of short I’m afraid we have chosen the wrong coach he needs to show some leadership and tell these senior players he isn’t putting up with half arsed efforts and squibbing contests
Not saying at every presser the effort was there that is totally bs

Noah Balta's 100th game.

What about Macintosh he has been putrid every single game
Not true
He was really good when he got back into the side from a couple games in VFL

But yeah he needs to be dropped again too
