I feel like it should be Patton but every time I've heard his name they've pronounced it Payton. just want this cleared up so I don't make a fool of myself

Yep, plenty of connections to the Mitta Valley/Tallangatta region where he grew up. His old man was a mighty fine footballer (and cricketer) too.

Well spotted! Nah not related, and I've never actually met the young fella. I'll own up to going to school with his dad though. I created the account when he did get drafted just to share what I'd heard from people who know - that he's just a sensational kid. I'm so rapt that he's finally debuting - puts a smile on my face at the end of what's been a pretty ordinary week to be Saints fan. Hope he carves it up.
