I don't understand your argument. Wingard is a known quantity - why is a low draft pick and probable list clogger clearly worth much more? There is an outside chance that Wingard will be part of our next premiership team. He is two years younger than Breust, who I thought might not see another season. But Breust has proved me wrong and I think there is every chance that Wingard will do the same to you.We are in a very different situation today from a few years ago. Regardless of how one feels about his tenure at the club on a simple cost/benefit analysis a pick is worth much more to the club than retaining him.
