love actually come on let it snow GIF
given the icy conditions at start of this week, won't be surprised if we have a repeat. Let the scores repeat as well.

We have a better balanced coach now too, that one wasn't too bad early on..

Apart from finals, this is my favourite game of the Clarkson era. Makes me remember Ceglar and co with quite some affection. Was a win of mindset over conditions - Clarkson at his most brilliant.

Serong would have a chance. If any Box Hill player is deserving of a call up it’s him. Especially against the Giants tall forwards.

It’s the tackle count going up that is key. His driving the car through the door now, any more and his doing burnouts in the lounge room

He’d be next in line. Just can’t see him getting a game ahead of Scrim, Frost, Weddle or Sicily.

GWS boys are known to be nasty.
Watto & Ginni and Cmac should expect some big hits from this lot.
They like to intimidate and throw their weight around.
Hogan is going to be a hand full.
Whitfield is on fire....Finn will need to be in the side this week.

Mine too. Jiath’s debut.

I am confident that Croc has the running power to go with Whitfield and challenge him the other way.
Ditto Ginni and Moore.

I like how Mitch has rotated the back end of our 22 so we have somewhat of a squad to pick from.
I wasn't impressed with Ward's kicking on the weekend, but I do think his pressure could be valuable vs the Giants.

I think Morrison's game on the weekend was him saying he's ahead of Frenchy in the pecking order for a call-up.. the Wiz had 2 weeks at VFL, would like to see Frenchy have the same.

Not sure what position Callaghan plays, but if its inside I'd prefer to see Worps & Newk get the job done vs Green and Nash to bully Callaghan. If Callaghan plays wing, he is going to monster both Ward & Massimo (in a physical sense), so I'll be watching how that goes with interest.

Peatling vs Day ?

The team is playing such even consistent football it’s hard to predict changes. I think Finn could be very handy this week, and not sure they’ll play him sub 3 times in a row.

I also think if Serong wasn’t in last week against that forward line, he won’t be this week.

If CJ is injured, Finn to start for him and Morrison to sub

One thing about our change to form is teams HAVE to defend us now. Can’t give us to much space or you will end up looking like Adelaide. It should mean it keeps the good sides slightly more accountable.

Mitchells game plan seems to be all about separation, very hard to stop in second halves. We just look like a side getting prepared for premiership quarters.

From what I can see live at the ground to this week we have a few layers to our game plan now, it’s pretty interesting to watch. Simple yet very nuanced, would make doing intel a pain.

If we bring the same intensity we displayed specially in the second half yesterday we should win this game. Hogan is playing his best footy this year and we need to play him closely.
Otherwise most of our guys in center and forward are playing their part superbly.

our win against GWS down in Tassie was probably our second worst game in the last 12. Really flat, poor execution, a lot of turn-overs. Yet we still won. Comfortable victory this week if we maintain our game style and bring that uber-pressure to the table.
You are not giving the opposition any credit. It was this win that had me declare the lid was off. It was a big game and they are so good defensively. If they are on, it will be another struggle to find avenues to goal. Last time we had gunners take out their main threat in the air. Will he play this time?

Last time we played them we had Reeves being beaten by Briggs and then came off injured in 2nd half.

Meek should do much better for us this time and it looked like Briggs hurt his shoulder against Melbourne but wasn't listed in injury report.

Could Seamus return? More deserving players at BH but Giants have a lot of quality small forwards.
No thanks. Has shit the bed each time he was recalled to the squad after good form in the two's.

Went to the snow game - was one of the best nights of my life. Great result and approach to it from the club as you mentioned.

When it started snowing late in the first, the crowd started cheering and for about 5 minutes everyone lost focus on the game (it even felt like the players did too) as we were all completely mesmerised by the weather. Felt like history was being made. And I guess it was.

Funnily enough went to a Big Bash game at Manuka about 6 months later (was the really hot dry smoky summer before Covid hit). It hadn’t rained for weeks when suddenly it started raining in the middle of the game. And the crowd started cheering that as well.

Manuka Oval - the ground where the crowd goes nuts for precipitation.

Just grateful its not at ENGIE Stadium - we do not perform well there at all. Bloody swamp pit last time we played in the wet and it was an awful game.

Big, big game for us. HMo probably comes in to let Finn get some full game time at reserves level. Also depends on whether anyone has pulled up sore - we won't bring in Serong unless Sic needs a rest.

It was a flat 1st half, very good 2nd half

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Breust either rested or sub this week.
I am guessing the Club is trying to keep he and Gunston as fresh as possible and will rotate them for experience.

With two sub appearances in a row, Finn is likely to be playing a full game this week or being dropped to VFL.

My guess is

IN - Gunston, Morrison
OUT - Breust, Finn

This.
I admittedly don't watch a lot of BHH but every time I've seen him at AFL level he's been average at best. Disposal isn't good it's as simple as that

Yep and at times looks like a dear in headlights. Let's not be greedy, one Dear in the team is enough.
