If we’re giving out motivational extended squad spots than RCD deserves one far more than Stack. Ryan does too

Or maybe we’re naming an extended squad with players who are match fit and hardened in the positions we may need to fill?
That seems to be what happens with the extended squads the club is forced to name on a Thursday night for a Sunday clash. Knowing darn well that 3 or 4 on there are not going to be named in the final squad.

Win on Sunday and you're going to see a lot of players resting next week so they get 2 weeks off before finals - well, it's effectively almost 3 weeks.

It's going to be Ross Lyon and Brad Scott all over again.

We still need 2 wins to make the eight, Essendon could very well get themselves up to ruin our season

If the Saints lose tonight - which they should - we'll only need 1 more win.

Things go as they should, next week is a dead rubber for us.

The only finishing position is 7th or 8th depending on Carlton.

Finishing 7th or 8th makes no difference.

There's even a scenario where we cannot move from 7th at all (Carlton losing both games).

Don't be surprised at all to see Banks, Brown, Stack, Samson, Aarts, Clarke, RCD, Mansell, Ralphsmith, Biggy, Martyn etc all playing next week.
