Run the risk of playing players out of form if they're rested. Stick with the same team, let them play. If there's injuries that's life, but you don't want to give someone like Tippett, Franklin or Sinclair 2 weeks off and watch them fumble in the first final.

Likely to finish 6th, so will get the week off anyway.

Jones already has a poor record (served a week suspension for a strike), so 1 week turns into 2 weeks I think. Unless of course the cumulative 'fines' don't take into account other suspensions.

Cumulative fines do not take into account a bad record. On the 3rd fine, you get a 1 week suspension. It is actually better for us if he gets suspended from cumulative fines because then he has a clean slate going into the finals (In terms of fines).

Thanks. Was the one thing I wasn't sure on. Probably best if he cops a week then.

I’m not totally sure but I think once you get that third fine every fine thereafter also carries a week so your fourth fine is automatic week and so on. There is no wiping of any slate. I don’t think a week suspension wipes it clean either.

That's what I thought too.

I was listening to SEN this morning, so I was going off what Gary, Tim or Hamish said. So it could be wrong or I misunderstood what they said

Yeah I believe this is the case too... The fines would no longer be the deterrent but rather become an incentive as players would be deliberately trying to get fined before finals which is the very last thing the AFL wants IMO.

Time for payback, for the Round 6 debacle.

Boys to come out breathing fire and atone for not backing up Mills in that match.
Millsy to get stuck into them and get in their faces.

Paps & Jones might want to make sure they've got some money spare in their accounts for fines etc. too.

In: Newman and Cunningham
Out: Hayward and Towers

We owe these pricks after Rd 6. Much like the Freo game, the four points is the need of the hour but we need to go all out attack and demoralise the campaigners. Even if there's a minimal chance of making the top 4.

Didn't they also give us the great man in Fitzcampaigner too? If so, there's even more motivation to f em up.

As is often the case, it appears Cunningham has become a harder and better player over the past 3 months while on the sidelines???

He is only fringe best 22 when up and running, can hardly see him coming in after all this time off and stepping up to finals intensity. Much better choices imo.

Don't agree with the selection of any Tom, Dick or Harry.

But I agree we need to deliver payback on the Filthy white collar crims that have stuffed around our club (Harris, Collins, Elliot and worst of all the Pratt who bought bulk Sth Melbourne memberships to sway the exile to Sydney) and nicked our players (think Bedford, Evans, Rhys-Jones, Williams)

Hayward should definitely stay in.

He's like Dean Towers but not as quick, not as skilled, and not as composed under pressure :drunk:
Hmm, sounds like he has a few areas of his game he needs to work on in the reserves before stepping up to seniors. :D
