They are playing for their season and we are already playing for the holiday.
Bye bye.

The Bulldogs are such a soup kitchen of a club. Umpire charity suits them. We deserved to be smashed though.

This scoreline flatters us.

We are a very, very ordinary football team. Without McEvoy to take pressure-relieving marks down the line and across half back, and without Gunston to convert we look even worse.

We're supposed to be young and fit, but there's no run. We are multiple years off contending. Even if we can scrape into finals year after next.

We have two legitimate lock-down defenders in Hardwick and Blanck, and an interceptor in Sicily.

We have one legit forward in Lewis.

And currently one functioning midfielder in Newcombe.

And a bunch of unproven kids and maybes.

Not feeling this at all.

Pish posh. We are down like 12 starters on this team and using vets and kids at this point.

Plenty to work with and despite being down in our key area as usual, our midfield first possessions, we are still competitive.

Easy to get down on the boys, but think we're on the right track and still plenty to like. Ward has been superb today, Macca again has shown glimpses of class, Saunders has looked good in patches, DGB has quietly played his best game.

Pretty easy to rag on the boys, but not needed tbh.
