Was watching the game here in Ireland with my 7 year old. He turned around and asked me if there was an earthquake or huge storm happening at the ground.
I told him that it was the Saints crowd finding their voice...and then asked if he would like to go to a game the next time we're home.
"That would be the best thing in the world dad."

Won't lie, I felt a bit emotional.

My In-Laws are right into the speedway mate and it's great for the town. We go every year. Although in a corporate box with free grog and air cons

Used to go every weekend towards the end of the Max Dumesny era. Ate more pies filled with surprise clay than I care to admit.

Moved towards Terang and spent a fair few arvos at Laang also.

Next weeks game will be a good trial for the finals , just get the guys to gel knowing King , Membery and Sharman have not played to much together and if Crouch continues his hot form with help from Steele and others in the midfield we have a very potent forward line.
As Ross said it's won or lost in the midfield.

You get Steele , Hill , Membery , Gresham , Clark all hit form at the right time with Wood , Sinclair , Marshall , Sinclair , Crouch , Butler , Higgins , Owens , Windhager , Nas we will win more than one final.

Max could drive

I'll be taking a month off work

It will be special
I shudder to think what I’ll do if we win one.

I’ll cry first, then I might disappear into the ether on some of Columbia’s finest for a week. Wife knows the deal, look after the kids and forget you know me for a week.

I’m still in disbelief about Saturday night.
Our play was, for the most part irresistible.
(Liiiiitle room for improvement in the goal kicking after a 10 -0 start last week.)

We've obviously bedded down our defence but when we get attack right in equal measure we just looked amazing.

The atmosphere was reminiscent of those (how many?) in a row Saturday night wins we had at Marvel in 2009.

On Saturday night we made it our fortress again - the loudest we have been in years, and the cheer squad was great. The Mason Wood chant…what can you say.

And even this occasional pessimist never thought we were a chance to lose it - not once.

I‘m on such a high, no stimulants or other involved. TG we can now relax this week without having to worry.

Go the Mighties!

Took my kiddos to their first couple of games this year, they loved sitting down near the cheer squad and getting into the chants. Definitely felt a bit emotional taking them.

I just watched the reply and have a few thoughts:
- Windhager's game was terrific. He was able to be an outlet out of our defence on numerous occasions. I really like this kid!
-Cordy was very good on Hawkins. He does the team things very well....blocks up space, shepherds, all the 1 percenters.
-20 marks inside F50 was a good return. If we clean up our ball use a bit more, we could potentially improve on this and start kicking some big scores
-Sharman will be on our list next year.
-Zach Guthrie is now level pegging with Cody Weightman in the Annoying Campaigner Cup
-English is Jobe Watson's third language.
A lot to like about that performance. The future is looking a lot brighter!

Dude might have to go into witness protection. A safe house in an undisclosed location.

I'm thinking somewhere you'd never see a dogs supporter...

I know...

A place of employment

Wow Speedway was part of my growing up in Gippsland.

Morwell Airport speedway. Moe Speedway. Wattle Park Speedway near Warragal. All gone now.
Rosedale speedway is still going i think.

A good whiff of Castrol R ( with Castor oil ) , and i'd be right back there.

When my son was little , i used to bring lollies, and every time the Saints kicked a goal he got some.
That really got him involved and barracking.
I think i nearly gave him diabetes in 2009.

When I was a kid, dad said I had to follow St Kilda or find somewhere else to live
