Very happy with the effort, kept in it all day. Importantly no injuries that will keep us from fielding our strongest side for the elim final.

Also, would be a reach for GWS to go past us - need to beat Carlton by about 7 goals to do that.

We played very poorly for the first half, yet we lost by 12 points in the end.

We got better as the game went on. That's an improvement on the team as compared to the last few years. We are a better side than we have been for 10 years.
We lost by 12 points to the team that is finishing 2nd on the ladder this year. We were in it.

I'm not mad at that loss, the second half of the game was a win as far as I'm concerned.
So many senior players played poorly. And we were at the Gabba. We've won 10 games there, and lost 19.

No reason why we can't do some damage in the finals.

Phillipou stepped up for his best game. Nas just a star, Windhager and Byrnes excellent. Wilkie stood up without Battle to help. Stocker was very good. They seemed to sit on Sinclair and give him no room but still had a great game.

Max King left a huge hole!
Different side with him up front, at least a 4 goal better team!

First half, did not show up, no ascendancy after the first maybe 2mins, got very lucky to keep in touch as a lot wrong with that half.
Second half, maintain that yeah, nuance clean up, actually be in the game and make demands ask the questions as fatigue sets in, and anyone not defensive in nature needs to give mad plaudits to the ones that are defensive as they saved your arses from embarrassment.

Nas is just, pure sex at this point, man is gold.
