Just think, we're a team of players who have barely played with each other. There's the senior players who know each other but these other recruits from the past few seasons have barely had a chance to get to know each other on the field.

What I'm seeing from the boys - and Richo - is nothing but promising. Richo is obviously a very good leader and we can only get better with experience and internal familiarity from here on. Soon those blind kicks down the corridor will turn into intelligent taps where we will just know that we have support waiting. Loook at Hawthorn's last game - that familiarity will take time but it's looking like it will be very worth the wait. :D

Will be interesting to see the time % spent inside their fwd 50 this quarter. They look ominous with their press and pressure. rremind me of maggies in 2010. About the only time it went into our front half was when they ran it backwards.

Still good signs. Inexperience cost us.

We should have learned a lot from that game. Think we had some sore players, so the odd change to refresh the team might be the go. Lots to like. Dunstan immense, Curran seemed to do a good job on Shuey, Stanley had some good patches.

Hard trip for a young group, but I'm happy with the showing. Just ran out of legs and luck.

I just left subi. We had the game till umpires gifted two frees for goals then the front runner crowd came into it then it was the end . Top effort but . From what I saw savage was terrible . Templet on was great . Is that about right

Hickey didn't look fit either.

Yeah, Hickey seemed a bit limited. Fought the good fight, hard against Cox and Nat. I thought he battled hard, and made them honest. Might need a week off. Gilbert clearly wasn't quite right. Was that the injury he went in with?

Well very proud of the boys and the effort they gave. You can't help but be satisfied that they left it all out on the field.

Dunstan in particular was excellent. Wright and Webster tried hard often against taller opponents due to Gilbo's injury. Ray, Joey, Lenny, Shane Savage, Jill, Eli all played well.

We're missing our B&F from last year who should be back either next week or the week after which will only strengthen the midfield.

I said to my old man if we keep it under 30 I'll be happy and I'm a man of my word!!:)

WE lost because our youngsters couldn't go the distance which is understandable (and expected) as well as the ruck although Hickey did try hard.

Some good signs but plenty to learn, true that billings,Lee Ross and longer will be considered.
Thought TC skills were ordinary but you can't complain with keeping shuey to 6 in a half.
Another close and winnable match next week v crows
Danger v TC

Gilbert left foot issue. Looks like a recurring injury

Think it's time we gave Longer a run, Hickey did some good things but didn't look 100% fit.
Sav needs either 1 chance for a full game without the green vest, or a bit of a break to the Zebs. I like his work but he needs more confidence. In my eyes, he's our next Schneider, though.

Billings and Lee both look like they've earned a run. Let's be frank, when Rooey took a breather we looked pretty lost up forward. He won't be there forever, I think it's time we started getting some game time into our future forward structure as well. I haven't been following too closely, but how likely is White to get some game time this year?
