Round 3 Trades

Really unsure about which trades are more important.

Thinking of:
Out: Lecras Koschitzke
In: Hill Cox

But forwards have been scoring lowly, so maybe upgrading forward is more important?
All ideas welcomed.

I think that forward line is unfixable , you just lack a proven star in there (eg. Riewoldt, Pav, Brown, B.Johnson so on).

What have you been scoring because you must have a great midfield and backline or shitloads of money?

But definitely get rid of Le Cras as he'll probably be out for a while with a bad groin injury

Bit of a dilemma here
I want to get rid of mike johnson and embley
Do i
A) osborne and then get corey
B Thorton then get swan

Thanks in advance:thumbsu:

Foward line and Koschitzke are worry. Steve Johnson hasnt fired yet either, Going to trade lecras out but dont know what to upgrade first. Pretty much up sh!#s creak :)

I would go Le Cras to Hill, then Hawkins to Porps, and pray that Fev will come good. Not sure about Kosi's price, but if you can get Cox then do that instead of getting porps. Cox is a must.

Wooo my thread stickied ;)

And on topic:

Grundy, anyone considering him? He has a negative break even in the backs (meaning he will go up in price no matter what) and that's why I'm considering him for one of my non scoring back rookies.

Just a point for those in a rush to get Cox in this week. He's averaged 72 against Freo in his last 3 games. If he scores 72 this week against them, he'll only go up about 11.5K. If he then scored 100 in Rds 4-6, he'd be back at his current price.

Best DT ruckman by a mile, no doubt, but his upside is marginal from his starting price. Just ask yourself whether you'd make a trade from Joel Corey to Kane Cornes (~10K difference). IMO, if you haven't already got Cox, you'd be better off holding off ~4 weeks, when the price rise in the average cash cow (who's played Rds 1-7) starts to taper. Side trade your rookie cash cow for another rookie with less than 3 games under his belt, take your 100K profit and swap a ruckman for Cox. Remember, he needs to average 100 per game for his price to stay where it currently is.

In the interim, have faith in the squad you selected. 20 trades can disappear very quickly.

pretty common question going around, but i want to pick up hill.

who to cut:

Dew?
Jetta?

The rest of the forward line is working pretty well

Also in the mids who do drop (have cash in hand and will probably pick up M Murphy):

Buckley?
Dempsey?

I realise dew and dempsey are injured but ive got good reserves who can back them up for the weeks they are out. Want to make the best trades for the long term.

Finally, someone with some sense

I'm looking forward to seeing 120,000 dters crying in their cereals Sat morning after Hill gets towelled up this week.

Stevens to thornton IMO pendles should come good and Kelly's scores will soon taper off

Yeah have decided to go with Stevens
Dont like having both him and Symes in my backline

Just hoping cox gets 89 or less this week otherwise I wont be able to afford him. Only averages 68 against Freo so hoping a win to the eagles with Coxy having a quiet one

In the paper today it was saying Sandilands could ruck around the ground with Gilmore "tagging" Cox. I imagine if this happens Seaby could play Ruck with Cox playing deep in the forward line affecting his scores

Scott Stevens to Thornton

or

Pendles to Kelly?

I know these 2 trades are a bit sideways but will let me be able to trade Wood for Cox

I've had kelly from the beginning........done pretty well:D:D

With bartel, ablett, chapman, and selwood getting oppositions main attention there's no reason why kelly wont be averaging high 90's over 22 rounds.

Whereas Pendles at 350k is going to drop heavily in price and only average 80 p/g at best.

Stevens for Thornton can be a hit or miss.......if you do it and it works out....genius but at the same time it can go the other way:confused:

Cox is a must....why ppl chose to overlook him i do not know

Was kind of hoping he would have a slow start to the season and then pick him up, but yeah that really didnt happen.

Out: A.Davey
In: Hill, Stokes, Gamble

Out: Ottens (seems like he might have a limited role and not score the big ones even when in the team)
In: Cox

Or;
Out:Waite
In: S. Fisher

Peoples thoughts?

I'm considering downgrading Fevola to Hill this week, the extra 200k in the bank will be nice too.

But then i will have 2 of the following in my starting lineup, Hill, Rioli, Gamble, Tippet. Too risky with 2 rookie starters in ym fwd line?

2 rookies is fine in a forward line if your 5 other forwards are capable of 80+ scores. have faith, im sure there are many Dters with 2 rookies in various departments.

I'm sure there are many people with 3 and even 4 rookies in many sections.

Jack, Geary, Bird, Palmer, Morton.....

Rioli, Tippet, Gamble, Hill......

*Defence is MISSING good rookies*
