It's the reality... And we are content, or a I dare say happy, with it.

Hurn yes. Gaff and Darling are 30, were 28 a couple of years ago when it started, players generally are just past their peak at that age. Cole, Duggan, Kelly since coming from Geelong, even Barrass from week to week.

Let me ask, who was on our list in 2020 and is better in 2023? The list of names of players who have declined should be balanced by players who have improved and we are very scarce on those.
Improvement in players are not linear and certainly not when rebuilding. When rebuilding the sum of the parts is much less than the whole.

Work rate to make space and options is something we have been terrible at.
Every time Melbourne get the ball, EVERYONE moves. yet when we get the ball everyone is stationary.
It's frustrating.

Yeah our problems started 2 if not 3 years ago when we should have been mixing in some youth and making everyone earn their place and dropping experience if they're not performing, but too many credits and now we're in for three years of this

Greg Clark is in the top 10 of the list of the most irrelevant Eagles players ever. His only good attribute is that he's tall for a mid. Damien Adkins was far better than him.
