Saints are the number 1 team in the comp for using the boundary and they score well from transitions by setting up well in defence. Obviously if we can win clearances and take the corridor that works against them.

If not, we need to match them on the outside.

With Flanders out, there are a few options to come in. Will be interesting to see what kind of player we bring in.

Flanders out Anderson in for mine

I’d like to see Sexton start, and maybe a Sharp/Atkins type sub for speed, who both played alright on the weekend.
Secco should be starting every game
Maybe there's 20 goals a year in JAR combined (Jeffrey Ace Rosas) but over 10 seasons Sexton has shown he averages a goal a game on his own
If we're pushing for finals he has to be a part of that

Makes sense to me. Give him a few games and see if he can kick a few each game. At least he can lead and draw a defender, and he knows how to create space.

Jeffrey is on track for 23 goals by himself this season. And could score 2 goals per game if he stays healthy, IMO. He missed some sitters this season (so did Sexton).

My forward line is
Sexton King Jeffrey
Ainsworth Casboult Lukosius

Not enough pressure, IMO.
Nick Holman (Gold Coast)

“Nick Holman is one we have down, he was the second-highest rated player in the game (against Geelong), 19 disposals but again it was what he was able to do without the ball,” Hoyne said.

“He was involved in eight scores, only Lukosius was involved in more.

“Zero (Coaches votes) for Holman but his pressure ahead of the ball, no one applied more pressure in the front end of the ground more than Holman.”

Sorry

Holman plays over Jeffrey
Common, Jeffrey over Sexton every time ;) Not even close in my eyes. Especially considering that Jeffrey played only 13 games and works hard. He put pressure on, brought the ball down again Cats. He still needs to increase his ToG but I predict a bag of goals is coming. He had essentially the same goals average last year as Sexton - 1.6 vs 1.8 (both played only 5 and 4 games respectively).

Sexton a sub if he is lucky - haha. I think the role suits him. In 2nd half teams get tired, he gets more space, can run, gives us 1-2 goals.

Dislike the call.

Jeffrey is a must play IMO. Can’t understand why you’re down in him!

Elite for i50 tackles and pressure acts so far this year, Constant threat to hit the scoreboard. Young player with so much potential. Lovely kick inside 50 too.

Capacity to be our Bayley Fritsch.

That pass from Jeffrey into Ben King on the weekend was so good, even though King dropped it...we lack players who can do that sort of thing! Id love to squeeze Sexton into the starting team but its pretty hard to do it at the expense of Jeffrey or Holman after the weekend.
