I'd wager 100% of Footscray scores have been from flooding forward in waves. I'm having flashbacks to 2016 with the way they're making us look slow on the rebound. Roughead has kicked 3.1 and looked super dangerous. But we're kicking to him at EVERY opportunity - multiple times there were forwards in better positions and we ignored them in favour of the big Rough. And while Roughy has had a great game he also could've easily kicked 5 or 6 as he dropped some fairly regulation marks. Still, his intent has been fantastic and he's showing the way for the younger forwards.

Walker & Ross haven't kicked a goal but both have looked impressive with their marking and their kicking. Walker isn't afraid to dish out some hits, multiple times made Footscray players earn their marks. Ross has set up multiple goals with his field kicking. Shoey is also moving freely which is something I haven't seen all year.

Pittonet is dominant in the ruck, and I've been pleasantly surprised by Reeves. He's actually more than serviceable in the ruck contents, although he's been invisible around the ground.

Glass is our best midfielder. He's adapted to the inside role very well and his disposal has been great. Jones still on the bottom of every pack but struggling to win clean ball. Meadows & Moore win the ball then either blast away or handball it to opposition.

CJ has been our best defender with some great efforts. Brand has also been good although he still fumbles far too much. Greaves is having a day to forget with his slips and errors. Our defence is left exposed by the Bulldogs flood - it's up to the midfielders to work harder to cover.

The footage of Rough almost half coaching the young Footscray lad is the exact reason why we love him. He doesn't care if it makes his job harder, he just wants to help anyone who has a drive to improve. What an amazing bloke

And that’s why I would keep him in the list next year....to teach the likes of Lewis and Walker. Don’t care if he plays 10 games.

Excellent report. Agree with every word.

Agree with Glass comments. Has had "presence" as a midfielder.

Greaves striking me as a young fella who needs a pilates or similar-heavy preseason block at year's end. Good moxie though.

Still high on Ross too.

Pitto in that awkward "Cheney" phase where he's above the VFL level but isn't probably going to get a lot of time at the next level.
