Watching this game from a tattoo chair in Hawthorn.
Thankfully the only pain I'm experiencing right now is in my ankle

Scaife is an absolute monster on the lead- the fact he's so young is wild to me

Ramma and Ward are a lovely one-two punch in the middle!

Would love DGB to get more involved though

Scaife should probably have 5 to half time. Looks great, only criticism is I don’t like how he has run under the ball on a couple leads. Other than that though looks an absolute weapon…got the Barry Halls about him
He's passed off one or two that he should have taken as set shots. Trying to be team-focused but would be better if he backed himself.

He looks fine, generally just blowing the cobwebs out, mits strong, good signs but radar off, will get a little more time.

Sure, I do think though he is hyper-aware of that knee.

He's certainly flexed it a couple of times.

He's only running at half pace and kicking short passes (for him)

Based on that he's miles away from an AFL return.

I'm not sure it's worth the risk unless we are certain to play finals - if not, as soon as we cannot make the 8 (if that happens) then it's decision time for Mitch and that knee.

Can he keep resting it?

Is surgery an option?

I'm pretty sure someone posted that it was a chronic condition - Mitch can't keep fighting though this and keep breaking down - not fair on him - maybe it's 'specialist' time and we send him off for 'outside the box' therapies (kinetics, stem cell rejuvenation whatever!)

The guys only 26 and is struggling to play half a season.

It's not fair on Mitch or the Club.

Honestly - I'd have zero problem tipping him out now and giving him the next 9 months to finally get 100% fit for a full season in 2025.

I don't think Lewis will make it to half-time.

Already flexing the knee.

Don't risk him.

Just took a contested mark, but laid off a short pass rather than kick from 45.

Just doesn't look right.
I doubt we see him second half?
I didn’t like the way his knee kinda ‘buckled’ when he took that mark. Not sure if it did in fact buckle or if he was just so aware that he landed strangely?

He needs more than just todays game though before he returns to AFL side.
