torture? Ha what you mean?
Anyway, I pray you are correct. If we smash the tigers what a great weekend it would be.

You'd remember these?
Both should have missed the prelim and Port would've gone onto the GF.

Hi Guys. Great to see the massive support we saints have. If only we had won a flag I think wed have 80k+ members.

Negatives
Anyway, Im more of a realist when it comes to reviews (although wish last week I wasnt).
Getting Richmond after 2 losses, with senior players coming back is not great for us. Marshall playing is huge. IF he plays we have a chance. I just dont see how we win with Carlisle in the ruck and no beast to stop Lynch / Reiwoldt. We intercept well, but we need carlisle one on one down there.
FWIW dont be dissapointed in a loss this week if we show heart. Lonie (if he plays) will kick 2 goals.
Marshall plays = saints by 3. NO Marshall = Tigers by 35. He is that important.

Positives
We have heart. Jones / Crouch might actually be good mids.
Young A-Grade Talent in King / Bytel / Clark / Higgins. Will ALL be A-Graders soon.
Ryder / Frawley / Carlisle / Marshall - we get ALL 4 of these guys playing together by finals, anything is possible.
Only need an amazing 4 week patch. We have been missing size. Unbalanced. These 4 would make us balanced.

Go Saints. Sorry for being pessimistic about this week, but its only 1 game and while its fun to be deluded its also good to be realistic to not get dissapointed / understand where we are at in the stage of the season. I know some of you hate that, but I hate delusion. Acceptance for all please.
We are growing, but Tigers are already grown beasts. Its all about can we grow / get the best 22 on the park for finals.

OUT: Lonie, (Marshall - hopefully not)
INS: Long, (McKernan - hopefully not)
SUB: Kent

*possible surprise: Coffield for Joyce/Highmore. Probably not.

Which Richmond senior players are coming back in?

Let's hope flopper Riewoldt doesn't get too many frees this week… 12 goals from 18 shots this year is pretty deadly, he doesn't need many chances.
Last time it was Shai Bolton doing a Petrucelli.

From Dan Cherny's twitter

Brett Ratten says that the current plan is for Rowan Marshall and Zak Jones to play tomorrow night. Paul Hunter on standby for Marshall, Luke Dunstan and Ben Long in the mix if Jones doesn’t get up. Paddy Ryder progressing well but won’t play in VFL this week.

I’m more concerned with the swelling pre game.

If that is under control. He will 100% play and play well.

He was unreal in this match last year.
I would rather Rowy in a wheelchair than Paul Hunter or Mckernan.. 5-10 min spells of rowy in the ruck with jakey taking the majority is enough, isn’t even just the ruck duel it’s rowy’s presence down forward with Max too that’s a pivotal part to our structure.

Just isn’t the same with Hunter or Mckernan.

I would have thought that Marshall walking around in ordinary shoes, let alone going through a light session, means that he is all but certain to play. If he had any sign of swelling or bruising right now, he would probably be entirely off his feet and maybe even in a moon boot, to expedite the recovery. Ratten's comments a bit of smoke and mirrors I reckon.
