You again! Simple Todd is one of my favourite players but I'll call out s**t when I see it. He played poorly for 3 quarters, I'm not sure how that's a radical opinion.

Plus, I'll take any reason to post this:

So did JHF. So why are people picking on Marshal's game - a KPF playing in a monsoonal p!ssdown!

I just dont get it.

What excuses?
Next Post...
What did you think of lobb, finlaysons, Dixon’s, naughtons ugle hagens performances?

Several of those guys did nothing (as kfs) all game and a couple worked hard but didn’t achieve much.

Maybe the idea that kfs are just going to be elite all the time is a farce, cause there’s good and high end kfs not doing that.

If ugle Hagen put the performance he put up tonight for us, the same port fans that hated Todd would want him fired into the sun. Which is dumb, cause he’s damn fine kf prospect.

People aren't complaining that Marshall wasn't "elite" in the first half. He was a complete non-entity. Simply trailed his man to the ball constantly.

And seriously, you want to drop the bar down to Rory Lobb? You lower expectations for Marshall quicker than the Port board lowers expectations for Ken.

Lol! Nonsense.

You can ‘disagree’ all you like, 240volt. The audit of my individual player references from tonight’s matchday thread is as follows:

Positive

• 4 x Marshall
• 2 x SPP
• 1 x Boak
• 1 x JHF
• 1 x DBJ

Negative

• 1 x Lycett

All well before ‘things turned’ (unless you’re counting praising Todd Marshall — who I’ve always been a fan of — and his Q4 strikes in the moment as some sort of paradoxical downhill ski).

Either learn to read or don’t be so blatantly selective about it.

Nah, we're playing well. We've played probably three out of the eventual top 4 this year and knocked off two of them (one away), and the Dogs are no pushovers either. The Showdown was a bad result, but even the Crows suddenly look a strong side at Adelaide Oval this year. Considering the draw we've had so far, to be 3-2 sets us up for a strong chance at making finals.

We're playing well. Possibly too well. It may well eventuate that in the long run we would've been better off going 1-4.

The fact that we’re 3-2 and not even in the Top 8, halfway through the round, is testament to how average we’ve been. The last two wins have been unconvincing and we were absolutely smashed in our two losses.

Sure the opposition has been decent but let’s not pretend that we’ve done any more than play well in patches apart from the Brisbane game. We could very easily be 1-4 or 2-3.

Starting to run out of patience with Junior, got my eye on Frank the Tank.
I loved his first quarter ... If he can string that sort of effort for three to four quarters, he will be amazing. He also just needs to finish off those goal attempts. If he had of kicked those two goals tonight, we wouldnt be mentioning him. Same last week ... I think three easy misses.

I am very happy to keep patient with him, it is going to click at some point soon IMO

My condolences go out to you tonight
Still a very positive post. All jokes aside I was expecting a win tonight.
The weather fell perfectly for us with the set up we had.
We are not bad but not top tier, I said top 8 before the season started and still think that but we all know that’s not good enough and Kenny will be gone.
Next season it’s a new ball game, let’s hope change will bring hope.
I know you think if we do good they will keep Ken but believe me that won’t happen….he’s goneski.
Anyway tonight did show so good signs for the future.

If we make finals, the only way Ken isn't here next year is if he leaves voluntarily. I truly hope you're right but I also truly don't think you will be.

A decent win.

Very pleasing to see Butters build on last weeks game with a really solid perfomance. 32 touches today and looks like he is getting back to his best.

I thought Rozee was excellent as well, both managed to use the ball cleanly where many others were struggling.

JHF last quarter was simply outstanding. The combination of JHF, Rozee and Butters is incredibly exciting for the future.

Williams was solid again, and DBJ looks reinvigorated playing up the ground.

Bergman too I thought was solid and is building nicely.

For all the bed wetters here worrying that Port will make finals, they have a 4 game stretch in July and early August that reads away to Carlton, Collingwood, the away Showdown and Geelong. They then have to play Freo in Perth two weeks later.

Need to win at least 13 games to make finals. Given they still have games against Essendon (twice), the Crows, Collingwood, Geelong (twice), Freo in Perth, Carlton and St Kilda away, Melbourne and Richmond (twice) I simply can't see the numbers falling a way such they're in the 8 at the end of the home and away season. In years they would have conveniently blamed the fixture. However given the situation of Ken being out of contract they will have no choice at that point but to move on.

Glad you audit yourself, is this a regular thing or just for me and the tax department?
I’m not seeing your general slagging posts from before half time.
They must have got lost along the line.
Hopefully you will be more positive after tonight and enjoy the game.
If you don’t enjoy us winning I guess there’s not a lot you can do …. The crows are doing ok maybe you can support them …….again?

Most of those teams aren't as good as Brisbane and Sydney who we've already beaten.

Congrats on the win Port supporters. Who is the next ruckman in assuming Lycett gets dropped? Teakle or Hayes?

Has to be Hayes. Teakle is being tried as a tall defender.

We'll probably just go back to playing no recognised ruckman again. And honestly Lycett is so bad that even this will still be an improvement.

Port beat Sydney every year irrespective of performance through the season. Haven't lost to them since 2016.

As for Brisbane, they were majorly off in round 1. Port deserve credit for the win but if those sides played 10 times I wouldn't be betting Port win more than 3 of them.

I have written in the games against St Kilda, Melbourne, Richmond (away), Carlton (away), Collingwood and Geelong (away) as certain losses. That takes them to 8 losses on the season. 11 and you miss the finals. Still on the fixture are games against the Crows, Geelong at home, Richmond at home, Dogs away, Freo in Perth and Essendon twice.

I don't think you're going to have to worry about finals. The bigger question would be if they scrape into 8th spot, which I would suggest is remotely possible (though unlikely), if they lost in week 1 of the finals would Kochie have the balls to let Ken walk despite making finals which Koch describes as a successful season? That would be a disastrous point as bad as the 2017 extension if not worse.
