Also, as Gough famously said, well almost……
”May God save the Queen, because nothing can save Sam Docherty!!”
As Malcolm Fraser said: "Life wasn't meant to be easy" (for Docherty owners)

IIRC it was “long way we say god save the queen for nothing will save the govenor general”

Not that it really matters but the afl delivering another fixture disaster means I’m stuck watching some made replay my wife has put on. Someone save me.

I still remember when Bob Hawke declared this:

"By 2023, no Supercoach will be living with a team in poverty, given they trade out Sam Docherty."

It's moments like these that make me proud to be an Aussie!

Had Dawson locked all summer then swapped him for Docherty a day before round 1 because I'm a Lachie Coward.

Will likely correct that and I do not care how much it costs.

You can really see why the powers at be @ Champion Data have given us more and more trades. Those of us who have started with the likes of Docherty would have never have dared trade him out back when we had 20 trades - then half of that group would probably lose interest because they can't correct to Nicky D averaging 130 and stop clicking - ergo less $$$.

I am very reluctant to trade him but maybe that's Carlton bias... if he's my biggest issue come Monday evening then I'll think about it but knowing this campaigner of a season there will be 5 more injuries before then.

Whichever of JVR or Brockman scores better will come in. NFI after that at this stage

Hollands stays IMO unless the coaches think he needs a rest - given we play Thursday it's probably not out of the question.
O'Brien the obvious out for Acres - would think E. Curnow for Walsh if we're putting sentiment aside

They will drop Honey for Walsh who started off half forward for extended periods last year.

A fit Matt Kennedy is where it gets awkward.
