Trades Round 5 Trades - Contenders for dual-position status

was going to trade doc anyways so the injury news at least means he can't make me regret it with a big score next week

very very tempting to go directly to the original seagull and SC legend Jake Lloyd, averaging 103, lowest score of 93, only 2% owned

This is probably the worst start to supercoach I've ever had with injuries and under performing premos

Cant see me winning any cash leagues or getting to socks this year.

Given Doc a forced trade thrown my plans out the window so now looking to do this:

Doc
Jones
Cole

In:
Dawson
Stewart
JVR

70k in the kitty to hopefully use for Hopper to Oliver in a few weeks

That's glass half full.

Half empty you're trading one safe keeper for 2 speculative keepers and throwing away the cash that could be made by whichever future rookie that Brisbane guy is taking the bench spot off of.
Davey is the guy who I culled. I'm gonna take a risk, it's a calculated one. I'm gonna bring coniglio back after he scores 149 this week.

It's Davey now, but it could be Williams, JVR, or potentially Fahey or whichever Sydney defender gets the nod this week (depending on your DPP sitch) in a few weeks.

Round 5 seems way too early to be using a boost to bring in a designated donut.

Stewart and Pickett or Redman and Warner. Rioli and Anderson will be up and down imo.

2 / 7, but just going off names without much thought. Interesting combos, can make a case for a fair few of them.

Pickett is not a keeper.

He is a stepping stone to a premo.
And a speculative one at best. I think Scythe94 mentioned he had 6 CBAs last week?

Melbourne will kick some big scores this year, so Pickett should manage a few spike scores, but I think it's ambitious to trade him in with the expectation that he'll ever hit $500k.

He's next to no chance of being a keeper though IMO. Just look at the calibre of small forwards that have been keepers - Johnson, Harvey, Chapman. Greene did it once.

Am I forgetting anyone? Pretty big names to live up to.

yep i see him as a stepping stone. The dees have an incredibly easy 5 game stretch. He kicked 2.5 on the weekend, and attended 6 CB's

Rioli's only terrible score came against the Pies in which he had 25 touches and scored 98 fantasy. Redman also has a 49 v the saints
Shorty back soon, andVlaus Baker and Balta sometimes take kickouts.

Just feel like we have too many mouths to feed in the backline.

Up to you though, i could be wrong.

Redman had a mare against the saints but as another said was doomed from the start with the 2 50s, but you can wait a week on Redman to see how he fairs against a top side

Personally 1 or 2 for mine, would easily be 1 but not sold on Pickett

yep thats right, i really like redman as a pick tho, essendon seem to always use him to generate run from the backhalf, and also can intercept.

Yep pickett is the thing that scares me as well and I don't see him as a keeper, whilst the other trades are aiming to gain 2 keepers

I think I will jump on the Sinclair train

All last year I never had him in my team and it was infuriating watching him score over 100 each week.

Still only in 7% of teams this season and has the friendly bye.

I did not see the St Kilda v Essendon match from a few weeks ago but I assume Essendon were trash that night resulting in the bad score for Sinclair.

had 26 in that game, 5 clangers, 0 tackles, 6 contested would've impacted his score but seems really stiff to get a 63

Stewart + JDG + $36k or LDU + Redman? 🤔

The extra $36k means I can hopefully get Day via Chandler + Baker rather than Chandler + Ginbey/Mackenzie (assuming Day misses this week).

EDIT: I'm silly it's only $13k difference, but that could still be an important $13k when it comes to getting Day in.

Yeah im tailing this pick. I gotta trade a down premo to a value pick or im just never going to get my moneys worth.
