Round 5 trades

Lets just treat it as a challenge to see how much we can improve from here. Trying to rank overall this year is going to be massive fail.

I think Sheri has slight upside on Loners.

Not sure how the top ranks are doing so well compared to me.

Im guessing alot have picked similar goods to me in Titchell, Ablett, A.Hall, Hunter, Kerridge, Wells, Johannisen, M.Gawn, Rich but also picked S.Mitchell, Yeo, Houli, Z.Merrett, Goldstein ect from the start. Not sure who else they could possibly have TBH.

This is my team after trades.

D.Rich, M.Adams, M.Dea, Tipungwuti, T.Lee, T.Ruggles (Harwood, Byrne)

T.Mitchell, G.Ablett, Dangerfield, T.Adams, L.Hunter, Zaharakis, M.Duncan, M.Crouch (C.Mills, R.Davis)

S.Martin + Blicavs (Yes i know i had a luxury trade when most had to fix other more important mistakes and i went GAWN > BLICAVS cost me 65 points so far) - (Frost and Currie)

A.Hall, Z.Merrett, Barlow, D.Wells, S.Gray, S.Kerridge (Menadue, L.McCarthy)

I really only need to start upgrading my 4 defenders (I think Adams will continue on his merry way).

Lonergan > Yeo

What was the deal with his 40 against the Hawks? Didn't watch...is he back to his fantasy friendly role for good?

JJ -> Fantasia. Grow him into a keeper, and should be good enough over the medium term anyway.

Second trade is tricky. I've got Hickey, Loners, Sgray, Barlow and Martin. If the latter misses it makes things easy.

My trades have changed again... Options are:

Option 1:
Barlow and SGray to Lewis and Wagner (Have to play him on the field though..) Saves 180k for upgrades next week.

Option 2:
Barlow and SGray to Zaha and Matthew Wright who I view as a long term keeper who can be relied on to get 90 every week.

Option 3:
Barlow and SGray to Yeo and Duncan

I really like the look of Yeo and Duncan but will Yeo continue to Yeo Yeo?

Keeping it simple.

S. Martin -> S. Lycett. Lycett is finding form, Tippett the only other realistic option as I can't afford Goldstein.
Howe -> T. Lee. Need a new rookie and one that can step up against Hawthorn seems a likely option.

Sheridan, Graham, Papley, Miller all on notice, but Martin and Howe are leaking cash and points too fast right now. Wagner, Ruggles and the Byrnes are also options but Lee probably has a slightly better BE and a bit more room to grow.

To make you feel better Fitzey orr .. worse

The top ranked team has Howe, Luke Brown, M.Crouch, D.Wells in the midfield, Leunenberger, T.Greene(Up and down), J.Martin (flukey start due to easy draw), Josh Kennedy (Eagles) and Jordan DeGoey in his side.

I feel i have a way better team then him right now by a considerable margin. Based on avgs i just did it 115 points better per week before his trades this week.

I have so many issues.

JJ, Sheridan, Sam gray, Libba... But at least the last three are playing.

I think it's gonna be JJ > Docherty and McCarthy > Sumner. Leaves me 78k for next week when I'll go a downgrade/upgrade and probably get rid of Grey for Zerrett, slowly starting to improve my currently horrible team.

Almost all of my premos are underperforming and almost none of my mid prices have come off - it's really bad.

.

Still seemed to play forward a fair bit but stayed involved in the game really well the last two weeks. Role didn't seem that different against hawthorn he just had a bad game I think.

Is Petracca ready to go yet? Had another 30 disposals and a goal in the two's.
Im hoping that the answer is yes but with Bernie and Garlett coming back someone would be very unlucky to miss for them two let alone Pet.

So at this stage unless there is a few injuries or rested players - I don't think so.

Really hope he does though haha, would be a great replacement for Sam Grey.

Haha, I think mine is a bigger catastrophe than most people that play Fantasy at the moment. But im going to take it as a challenge starting with learning from my mistakes and not patching failing players with midprice failures... These have been my trades so far and you'll see where I have gone very wrong...

RND1:
Jelwood out for Tommy Sheridan (Scores of 54, 76 and 57 since I traded him in..)
Tippa :( out for Trent Mckenzie (Scores of 63 and 4 until I traded him back out)

RND2:
Rocky to Zerrett (Great straight swap)
Crouch to Sam Gray (again writing my wrongs I went to another underperforming midpricer.)

RND3:
Trent McKenzie to Tom Ruggles :thumbsu:
Zac Smith to Nic Nat :thumbsu:

RND4:
Barlow to any midfield premo
Sam Gray to Tippa (Breakeven of 12, I hate having to trade him back in but he seems reliable to score 70 which is great for someone at his price.)

Leaving me with the following team:

The players in the red square are on the fringe of getting traded. At this point of time I hoping next week to go Hewett or Davis to Petracca and Lonergan or Sheridan to Mitch Duncan.

Keeping it simple.

S. Martin -> S. Lycett. Lycett is finding form, Tippett the only other realistic option as I can't afford Goldstein.

I doubt Lycett will play this week. Sure to cop a week for closed fist to Vickery in the face even if it was pretty soft.

Probably going to go:

Martin > Goldstein
Lonergan > Fantasia

Could also do:
Martin > Naitanui/Grundy/Gawn
Lonergan > Any defender

If Martin's only going to miss one week and Archie Smith is named I might not trade him out as Smith is on my bench.

Hmmmmm.....

Looking to take the opportunity to get some cash in from a Stefan Martin trade so that I can update Menadue to Hunter and have a balance of $74K for trading the next week. Have Frost on the bench so I have cover with him as well as who I select. Although Frost is a bit of an unknown quantity as yesterday he scored 86 from 77% TOG and the week before 25 from 75% TOG. He does not appear to have any time in ruck.
