Original reaction to the game here for preservation's sake.
Weekends are just better with a Friday night win!
Not that I’m going get to ahead of myself. Fool me once, yadda yadda… Suddenly the game against the Crows is very important, and although I still stand by my view that this season can’t be measured in the wins and losses, a big number in the W column come season end would sure be nice.
It’s one thing to respond after a shocking game, as the team did this week, but Essendon needs and must back it up next week against an underperforming Crows unit. Essendon, on the back of a great win going into an away game against a lower-on-the-ladder interstate team.. I’m worried.. And yet I appreciate Brad’s own awareness of this based on his post-game press conference.
The Round That Was
Well, that was a hell of a win against a team that all too often makes fools of us…
I wonder if Stringer will ever forgive Langford for that goal.
Duursma is proving to be a great pickup. Durham is a beast! Double Ds for the win!

The Last Time We Met
Round 17 2023 was an important battle for a place in the final with 7th taking on 8th.. Except then the arse fell out of both teams and neither made finals in the end, so I guess that win kinda meant nothing in the end.

The Selection Table
Possible Outs -
Menzies

Hobbs
Possible Ins -
Roberts (Might be worth saving for an Anzac Day Debut though)
Tsatas
There is a concerning lack of pressure on spots currently with so many poor VFL performances.
My Prediction - I think we’ll win, but it will be a tough one. Dons by 8.
