Think we went too young. Read is not a commanding forward against good defenders yet. Rogers doesn’t seem ready.

Luko forward is a better option (played well enough today though). Jeffrey defence is a better option. Flanders mid rotation is a better option.

I get we are trying things, but gotta pull the plug when they don’t work.

It’s going to take years and probably another 5-6 academy boys coming through who actually give a sh*t to undo this willingness to just roll over at the slightest threat.

You can almost set your watch to it. A big win and a bit of optimism followed by the midfield completely failing to show up, the defence turning into a group of AusKickers, and the forward line failing to make a single contest, and not a single care in the world from any of them.

Clohesy is ready. Graham is ready. Walter is ready. The others were rushed in and played ok at best, but aren’t best 23 yet.

But Hardwick is just trying things. As long as he learns from it and makes the changes needed.

Mids were well beaten. This is how it goes for us when that happens.

King should be up the ground and draw a defender with him and use his speed more. He can’t mark 2v1. Not in his wheelhouse. Agree Walter can go there. It’s more his strength.

Picking Roger’s has put us in a tough spot. Can’t drop him after one game (bit rough). But I think Read can go back to the VFL.

Luko can go forward if need be. Jeffrey is another option to take Luko’s spot.

Flanders should go back into the midfield rotation more, especially when his confidence is down.
