Team at the conclusion of Round 7:

d9aU5Nf.png

Score: 2248
Weekly Rank: 13738
Overall Rank: 42867 (51581 )
Points Behind Leader: 1430
Heroes: Laird, Yeo, Cole, Fyfe, Mitchell, Zorko (C), Kelly, Gawn, Sicily, me for putting the C on Zorko.
Villains: Merett, Billings, Petracca
Trades Made: Holman to Cole and Banfield to Merett
Trades Planned: Finlayson and Doedee to Spargo and McLean
Trades Left: 24

Trades: 6/10

As I contemplated my Round 7 trades, I considered players like Patrick Cripps as an alternative to Zac Merrett, but decided against due to A: Compromising my rookie trade-in, or B: Having to trade out a 'safer on-field rookie' like a Doedee or Murray type. In the end, the big scorers (Doedee, Murray, Finlayson) weren't extraordinary, but even though Zerrett was disappointing, I did make a one-up, one down trade, and so far, Cole looks to be the better option out of himself and Duman.

Defence: 7/10

Laird continues to be outstanding in his field, McGovern is underpar, Yeo is has been a worthwhile upgrade, and the four rookies defenders all performed adequately to decently, though I lost 8 points by benching Murray instead of Doedee to take Naughton's 75, but them's the breaks. It's well into upgrade season, and we may be saying goodbye to a couple of early-season favourites soon.

Midfield: 8.5/10

Tom Mitchell just keeps going on and on. Finlayson wasn't at his best, but was still serviceable, covering for the still absent Josh Kelly. Patrick Dangerfield still hasn't hit his considerable highs, but is showing glimpses of his potential. Dusty Martin has been a little down recently, and Zac Merrett was disappointing on debut. Tim Kelly continues to be the outstanding rookie of the season, Fyfe is Life and Dayne Zorko returned to form in spectacular fashion, made all the sweeter with the big C upon the Supercoach representation of his glorious persona. Putting the C on Zorko looked to be the coup de grace for my season when Gawn was on 50 midway through the first quarter, but in the end, only Jack Macrae had a higher score this round.

Rucks: 6/10

Great Gawn pairs up nicely with Normal Naitanui, as is tradition. Bit odd for the rucks to be the most reliable part of a side.

Forwards: 4/10

Only Sicily tonned up, but what a ton it was. Petracca very poor on his return, as was Billings. Upgrades need to be made up forward.

Overall: 6.5/10

Finally, my luck may be changing - hopefully Josh Kelly returns next week. Spargo, assuming he's picked, will also enter, as will an upgrade in all likelyhood. McLean looks to be the most likely candidate.

...anyways whilst we wait for stevebbb to do his duty I might as well post my rank.

Fell out of the top 1k, it was a short trip and was fun whilst it lasted.
McGovern and Billings my 2 bookend spuds spudding up my team with their pure potato whip shiteness.

There's very few points between top few hundred and top 2k. We were ranked similar last round (around 1000) I scored only 130 points more and jump to 400 while you fell to 1200. That could easily be reversed within a single round though. Can't take anything for granted this year. Got to keep making improvements to on field list. Billings is going to either find his way out of my starting 22 this week or ousted completely. Can't afford to keep carrying the bum.

ANB kicked a goal, you missed that. Most of his kicks were also 40+ M, worth more. Fritsch had pissant little 10m ones. Fritsch had 10 handballs (55%). ANB had 5 handballs (33%). Supercoach gives a **** about distance of kicks and whether you handball or kick. You can’t even compare the two.

Full rundown is here but it sounds like DT might be your thing.

Dream team ain’t my run.. I’m 254th overall in SuperCoach. Thanks for the pointers though champ.

Also your point is completely invalid..

Alex neal-bullen 10 kicks, 248 meters gained

Bailey Fritsch 8 kicks, 249 meters gained

So yeah maybe check your stats before trying to give me a run down.

Pretty chuffed with 2397 and finishing 644 overall for the round. My first ever top 1000 round ranking.

Moved up to 8117 for the season, another improvement of over 10,000 places. It's a long way from 58K where I was sitting early in the season.

I had 1 more point that you but ranked 627

Please post a screenshot of her team!

Cool names... she must have Orazio Fantasia, Wylie Buzza and Dalton Langlands.

Although I have no idea how she scored 2,411 as they all didn't play this week...
I said cool names not weird names. Yeo, Doedee, Gawn, Stefan, Jesse, Bontempelli, and Toby are supposed cool names to her.

She's 14, so she also picked players like Fyfe, Burton and Jaeger because they are 'hot'! I did have some trouble talking her out of Jack Silvagni for this very reason!

Burton, Mitchell, Jaeger, Sicily & Gunston because they are Hawks.

It's a one-off week, where it all went well for her. She's so excited that she went up 20,000 places to 53k, and you have to have a shot by doubting it's her team:thumbsdown:

Was not having a shot at all, was just curious as to what a 'cool name' team that scores 2,400 looked like.

Great job by her and hopefully she has many more massive weeks in the future! :)
