I did actually, there's certain family traits that are passed down with players

Is there a resemblance in playing style with Jack Viney and his father .....absolutely
Josh Daicos with Dad ?

Brad Ebert was a clone of his father Craig .....same Ryan Burton with his father Craig
Erin Phillips

Exactly.

Look at Dusty's old man.

300+ game career. Elite athlete. Outstanding character.

Dusty was a lock to be a star thanks in large part to his superior genetics :thumbsu:
OK .....knowing Dusty's father, do you think Dusty was ever going to be an outside player :D

For every player who is a clone of their dad, there are many more who don't share all the same physical attributes that are not as good and even more who are better than their old man ever was.

Agree ....the physical attributes play a big part ....where dad was a 190cm mid as an example, and the son is 177cm ....or vica versa

Crazy thought, but have you ever considered that it's possible for a male player to inherit the superior physical and mental attributes that one day lead him to become a gun player from his mothers side?

Take Scott score or risk with Berry?

Leaning towards banking it as that’s the safer option
Berry at home after a week off.

GWS games are normally high possesion. Could go alright I reckon.

I would thought more that if you had your dad in a footy background you usually have a higher chance than making it than other draftees because you get taught at a younger age and more better footy program. e.g Training down at clubs, diet, training and basic skills.

Considered Bolton in for Dunkley. Went conservative with Oliver instead.

403/4 is a solid enough start, but Macrae VC is a bit disappointing.
Yeah I'm spewing that I paid top dollar for Macrae when I coulda got Bolton for Dunkley. I know Macrae will bounce back but I've now got stuff all $$ for next week

Absolutely, but can you name any ? .....however I was generalizing, you can usually tell which side of the familiy after watching them play .....you may even see them playing more like other family members like a Brother

My POV with Schache was after seeing him play the U18 Championships, there was all the classic elements of how his dad played

Take the Scott 63 ....always the safer option with Rookies

I'm surprised that Schache was never trialed as a defender. He has attributes to be a good player in the right role. He lacks a big chol to be a gun KPF though.
He looks scared to me, fearful of contact. Big contrast between him and Naughton who crashes into packs and doesn't flinch.

Suspect his cards are marked and JUH will debut next time they need a tall. I wonder if they just didn't want to debut him vs Richmond in a big match, so Schache was the sacrifice.

I'm worried with Gawn this weekend ....no disrespect to North, but this maybe a game where MELB gives Luke Jackson more Ruck responsibility

My gut yesterday said (VC) Grundy .....could the Bulldogs go 7-0 wins, the odds said no .....but yet again I chose Macrae against my instinct :(
Yep I did the same thing.

What are the odds of Waterman playing? Pretty low right>

I can switch Brockman into FWDs with Zorko to guarantee Scott's score, but would prefer to use him to loop Berry and Gulden today as well.

VFL game isn't until tomorrow :(

I'd say there is a fair chance that Waterman comes in for a rested HJones. This week or next. Having said that Essendon have named a debutant and Ridley to return.

TLDR: Dunno
