Would be a horrible miss on such a high pick.
Well, he cost us pick 35...

Picks in that range can be hit or miss....but, yes, I'd like to see a bit more from him.

How did Hartigan go? I'd give him a game just to give DGB a rest. Would be a ideal match up for Lynch.

Would be a horrible miss on such a high pick. Did he play off half back as named? Literally the last position we need a player for right now.
Nah, I’d say mostly lined up the wing. Ended up having a few nice moments, but was very outside today and just didn’t seem to get involved as much as i expected.

Yes he has already debuted. I am hoping he gets another chance
I was surprised to see (on Wiki) that he has already played 9 games.

Is that right? I thought somewhere between 2-4

Ended the game in f50. Snagged a couple of contested pack marks and split some packs. His field kick was better than his set shots both misses
I love that Hartigan was given a go up forward (was Jeka on the field?) … He is a man mountain… and missed a few shots. But Hartigan is a good kick in general and with a few simple pieces of advice could slot some goals. I love him up fwd.
More of that Please.

Blank at FB thanks

Where was Jeka?

Jeka is a supremely skilled player, possibly the best in the AFL…. and entirely soft. He got 5 goals for box hill… most were gifted and the others were lace out.

Over the last few years I have loved watching him play until he gives up in a contest.

I say, put him in the centre in the VFL for some time. He has every tool for 5mins per Qtr in the centre. He is the best kick in the VFL and may be as good as Dusty…. But he competes like Paris Hilton for $20k… just not interested.

Mitch Thorpe should get in his ear.

Sounds like we played some pretty hopeless opposition (not surprising given out in bombers seniors) and smashed them as expected. Hard to get a read on players when opposition is so weak.

For sure. Had a nice touch up by Casey demons last week who are also undefeated I think

Agree just watches. That last effort 2 or 3 minutes ago on the boundary was his norm. Doesn’t seem to want to attack the footy at all.
Yep. I remember CJ was a bit of a spectator too before he worked things out. But in Jiath's defence he would get to all the right spots and was a very intense spectator! Clearly wanted to be part of the action. Downie doesn't give off the same vibe unfortunately.

Most were gifted? 1 goal was a downfield free.

Not sure why being able to get free on a lead amd take marks is something to be criticised for? Did you not see any of Dunstalls career? Jeka did everything right on the weekend. Instead of celebrating him kicking 5 you're kicking him in the guts.

Jekas issue is the style of play at the next level and not yet being able to compete to the required level in contested marking situations. He either can't effect influence or he gets caught behind and outpointed. He is still only 20 so with some good coaching can improve in this area to the point he becomes more reliable at the top level.

He went off with a tight string which is why Hartigan went fwd.

I think you should read your own posts before you publish them.

The demise of Brokman is awful. Stings a bit.
