Reef rarely gets a genuine run at it

They’re both either the sub or get ONE full game rather than a block

Sullivan? Dude is 26. Not sure what we’re waiting for. We tried Chugg ffs who had done nothing to justify even one game. Generally when you bring in a mature age recruit, it’s because you’re planning on playing them sooner rather than later. What are we waiting on exactly?

How about Carmichael? Any reason we can’t try him forward? He seems to play that role ok.

These fringe players aren’t going to improve or really show what they can do at the level if we never give them a genuine look in from the fringe.

I’m not as down on our VFL players as many of you seem to be. I also believe some players need to play at the higher level every now and again. For a variety of reasons. Be it confidence, or a reminder of what’s required

Some players also rise to the level when given that chance

I mean, Fin had 6 possessions against Brisbane. His only full game at the level. Steele had 7 today and gave away 3 frees.

I’d take Fin. Fin is our future and we need to invest further in it.

It’s not like all our older players are dominating and genuinely keeping these guys out.

You got my attention at Carmichael. I reckon he's the type of player who plays better in the AFL if given a chance
