Dam this stuffs things up.

Was going to trade Suban to Broughtan. Now Broughtan is dropped :mad:. Stuffs me up.

Also Beams out, means i have to play Cockie (not all that bad). But i wanted Beams to play to gain some money before i trade him out next week.

Planned all week to get Broughton now will look at trades elsewhere and get him next week. If he is a late inclusion it will be the stale icing on my burnt 2009 dreamteam cake.

Also Didak what the hell.

Posted this on the Carlton board but will post it here again:

I see that Houlihan is first emerg. Is there anyone in the named 22 doubtful fitness wise that might be a late withdrawl that would see Houlihan get a game tomorrow?

Only Scotland who got concussion last week and Fev with his foot, but he's been playing with that all year. Only way I can see him playing is if one of our mids gets hurt between now and Saturday.

I doubt it. I reckon theyre just waiting for a couple boys to make some mistakes and then we'll c him back.

Is this thread in meltdown yet?

I have all 3 of the rookies that are out - though not at much consequence. The biggest issue is i have to now keep Hill which means he'll fall in value!

i am suprised greatly by Broughton.

Petrenko should have been dropped 2 weeks ago.

Beams is a bit of a surprise. Had a downer game - but surely they'd persist more than that - maybe the groin still annoying him?

Yeah Mundy was in some doubt, but I'm not sure how he's trained and if he was/will pass his fitness test. He spent a lot of time on the pine last weekend, so Broughton would be the obvious replacement.

As for Broughton, well I think it's pretty unlucky that he's been omitted. He didn't play that badly and seems to be able to score well in DT. I don't know that he'll be out that long though with players like Thornton still in the side.

He's named as an emerg, therefore I assume fit to play. And not in the way that Higgins was named as an emerg last week because he wasn't fit to play.

Just food for thought: Is Muston as risky a bench option as, say, a Davenport who lacks job security?

Muston is a similar prospect to Jack Grimes. Has been troubled by injuries (had two knee recos) but is HUGELY rated by the club.

If he stays healthy his job security should be there

k so i need cheney to play to avoid a 0. want to wait another week before i bring in burgoyne or someone else
still dont trust sidebottom enough with didak, medhurst, thomas, rocca surely all returns next week - any info on that?
wellingham, cook maybe goldsack and toovey only players that would probably go out before him at the moment and as they will probably lose again, more chance of being omitted.
cant see how it's worth it id rather wait until maybe ballantyne plays in 3 weeks or just someone else
thoughts on his safety?

IMO sidebottom looking quite safe

Looks very composed when he has the ball - plus Collingwood are missing most of their forward line and Sidebottom is a midfielder - so not sure he is competing against those who are returning

Why? Not doing enough in the twos? Out of favour with Choco for some indiscretion? Serving penance for sexually explicit acts with a rubber chicken?

After his decent pre-season I was led to believe he would be given opportunities this year. Frustrating that he's on my bench doing bugger all.

Not doing enough in the SANFL imo. When he played in the AFL did not set the world on fire and wasn't good enough. With Carr, Salopek, Burgoyne to return and the emergence of Hartlett, Davenport, M.Motlop and Broadbent I'd say he is fair way down the pecking order.
Although a couple of stellar weeks in the two's may see him return but I doubt it.
