Re: Round 10 - Trades

Fyfe is still worth jumping on if you want to free up some cash

Anyone got a thought on Okeefe? He is at the lowest he is probably going to get, is it time to get him or wll his crap form continue?

Re: Round 10 - Trades

The Kennelly and White injuries have really hit my backline

BACK: Hodge, Enright, Harbrow, Kelly, Maguire, Silvagni, Webberly
SUBS: Kennelly, White

I've got $630k in the bank, I'm thinking of just upgrading White now - I don't think I can wait 3-4 weeks for him to come back and then another 1-2 rounds for his price to rise - my backline is just too weak with those injuries.

I'm thinking White -> Goddard

Yeah I am thinking same thing kennelly -> Gilbee but not sure I should waste the trade.

Is Kennelly a keeper? If so, I guess I will keep him. Otherwise
do I offload him?

Here is my team:

backs: Hodge, Enright, Kennelly (inj.) Hurn, O'brien, Malceski, Maguire
emerg: Webberley, Davis
mids: Ablett, Swan, Goddard, ROK, Barlow, Howlett
emerg: Martin, Shuey
Rucks: Clark, Naitinui
emerg: Warnock, Lobbe
fwds: Brown, Pavlich, Didak, Goodes, Franklin, Pods, Tippett
emerg: Gumby, Rockcliff

12 Trades $139K

Option 1: Gumby or Rockcliff -> Watts or Playfair
: Then Martin -> NDS, Hayes or Montagna

Option 2: Do not trade and wait for Kennelly to get back

Option 3: O'Brien or Kennelly -> Gilbert or Gilbee

Option 4: Gumby or Rockcliff -> Watts and hold onto cash

Option 5:

Any thoughts? Leaning towards Option 1 but thinking twice about Option 3. Just going for league win.

White > Goddard seems to be a great move because White would be sent back to the rookie list as Andrew Walker and Brad Fisher returns from LTI's.

Kennelly should be traded as he already made many SuperCoaches money. Trade Kennelly for a Brian Lake or Lindsay Gilbee , then Dustin Martin (he peaked last round and starting to lose $$$) for NDS, Bartel, or Boyd.

Re: Round 10 - Trades

OUT: Kennelly
IN: S.Fisher

Can also afford H.Shaw and Gilbert, but H.Shaw has a high breakeven and arguably a tougher draw, and I don't have anything to say about Gilbert.

Thoughts?

Re: Round 10 - Trades

I've only got 8 trades left and my backline is weak:

Goddard, Enright, Shaw, Waters, O'Brien, Maguire, Silvagni (Gram, Webberly)

My Question is should I upgrade Gram to a premium defender? Given the weakness of my backline and the fact that he'll probably take a couple of weeks to find some form . Or should I keep him in as he is only out for 3 weeks?

Probably going to do the same. Either that or play Webbreley and wait for Shaw to drop another 15 - 20k..

Unsure if saints are back on the march, but i think its the best option regardless. Proven scorer, remember a little dip last year but he was tearing it up in the finals which doesnt get included in year's averages and prices. Also plays Adelaide and Richmond the next two weeks. Im gonna sleep on it, but probably go Fisher..

Yeah i would make the trade. Cant play Waters, O'brien, Maguire and Silvangi all at once. Latest injury report on the AFL website sez 4 weeks for Gram with groin/hamstring. The groin bit is a bit of a worry as it is notorious for severly limiting players for long periods eg Brown..

Best options are Duffield, Fisher, Goodwin or if you have the extra 90k Gilbee

Re: Round 10 - Trades

my team is:
hodge goddard malceski enright gilbert waters hurn (maguire webberley)
ablett swan barlow ball martin mitchell (melksham shuey)
sandi nicnat (warnock lobbe)
pav brown rok gia pods fyfe grant (rockliff p.davis)

i'm pretty much sold on martin -> boyd, but i'm trying to weigh up some other options:

rockliff/davis -> watts (purely for $$$$)
nicnat -> cox (mainly since nicnat will be rested soon)
ball -> NDS/murphy
nothing, and save my cash to upgrade fyfe or grant later on (i'll have about $235k left after the boyd trade)

ideas? i have 10 trades left

Re: Round 10 - Trades

Re: Round 10 - Trades

Why is everyone so keen to trade out Tadgh? Unless you're in teh running for the top prize (and, lets face it, thats really only the top 200-300 at this point), it might be worth looking at your league run and deciding whether you can carry him for a while. I've got some pretty easy games coming up, so am intending to carry him for at least a couple of weeks to see what happens. Who know, he might be back early.

Re: Round 10 - Trades

The problem with Tadgh is that IMO he's not a keeper, going from past seasons he plays injured (so he could come back sooner rather than later) but scores poorly when battling injuries, and on top of that he's injury prone so he's likely to get injured again this year. Add to that the 2 he scored last week means he'll drop in value the next 2 games he plays.

Unless he's a keeper for your team you need to trade him.

Re: Round 10 - Trades

137k in the bank.

My 2 options:

Warnock ---> Skipper
Brown ----> Chapman

OR

Waters ----> Gilbert

If I do option 1 then Gilbert trade is held back another week. Really would like to get Brown out, he looks injured and is scoring terribly. Voss already stated he might rest him and Chapman is gunning it. Hmm..

Yeah good point. However my only concern in trading Kennelly for Gilbee then Martin for either NDS or Bartel is that it would then mean I miss out on getting in a Watts or a Playfair for Gumby or Rockcliff. There does not look like there is many other fwd rookies to trade down to in the near future for cash..

I could go Kennelly -> Gilbee and Gumby -> Watts and hope that NDS/Bartel etc. do not have massive scores and pick them up next week from Martin.

Or just hang onto kennelly and go Gumby-> Watts and Martin->NDS/Bartel.

??

Re: Round 10 - Trades

Is there a midfield rookie I can trade in, need to get rid of Banner?

Gumbleton > Playfair
Maguire > Gilbee

is what I am thinking this week, try and upgrade Martin next week!

Re: Round 10 - Trades

^^^^

Im also wondering the same thing about any cheap midfielders with job security... Thinking of downgrading Trengrove next week!!! I have Rohan already...

Re: Round 10 - Trades

The eternal question

Who should i trade Rioli for in the forward line?

I have 150k in the bank and was thinking i would downgrade warnock for that hawthorn ruck giving me another 100k in the bank, wondering if i should spend it all in one go and upgrade to a 550k plus player. So many damn choices

Re: Round 10 - Trades

Anyone trading with MPP in mind? For example, would anyone trade Martin up to Goodes and a Rockliff to a McNeil, then swap Goodes into the fwds and McNeil onto the mids bench or is it not worth trading in a player that's not going to be playing?
