Apologies for the late stat update. This week has been a week. A fun week but an incredibly busy week. Anyway. The Furies. Would have been a good game for the neutral but generated a few too many heart-stopping moments for the invested. I thought we were going to make a comeback late on but in true Roy fashion, we went for an afternoon nap instead. JackNah_8 and tigs2010 certainly weren't napping, snagging 32 and 25 disposals respectively, with Tiggy back to his rugby best with 8 tackles. DERRINALPHIL (22 hitouts, 25 disposals) and 3KZ is Football (30 disposals) worked hard to feed Mooch (6.1 goals), MrsEddieBetts (4.1) and _Mike_ (4.0) in a shootout but unfortunately they kicked more than we did. Dammit.

Round 9 Barrels Award - Roys vs Furies

In Round 9, the Roys played the Furies. In an unusual case of late revisionism, this was a fantastic match thread and far, far better than what was to come in weeks to follow.

The Furies had exactly ZERO dickheads who started complaining on Tuesday morning - without actually contributing to the match thread at all - which is a tremendous achievement for the Leadership Group !!! Oh - hi there Dragons LG !!!!

After the match, which I'm pretty sure we won convincingly, the Roys faithful sat down to vote on who had been the best opposition poster, nearly entirely for the Barrels award, but a tiny slither for AnUltimateRessie !!!!

And in this case, the winner was James Colorado !!!

Congratulations and best of luck/deepest sympathies for when you play the Dragons - you'll probably need this, so save it and ration it carefully !!

First of all congrats to SpecialBruce on marking his Roys debit with a win and adding 11 disposals and a tackle to his stat sheet. Many more to come I'm sure. The game was dominated by DERRINALPHIL 's ruck rowk (12 hitouts, 26 touches, 3 tackles 2 goals - wow!) and the legend that is Beandip with 7.1 goals on top of 19 disposals. That's not to the rest of us were passengers. No siree Bob! Zevon and tigs2010 shared 49 possessions and 17 tackles between them, while Aristotle Pickett added 25 touches of his own. Well, not touching his own but .... you know. JackNah_8 added another 21 disposals to her tally, Mooch kicked 4.2 and MrsEddieBetts kicked 2.1. Stellar stuff all round. Well done team.

Hello Roys FFC.

I am so happy to see that I am still accepted here. I wanted to provide an update of whats been happening.

1) I'm back in footy. For those who don't know, after 15 years of community footy volunteering/umpiring, I walked away from all Australian Football in 2022. Didn't watch a single game, didn't care. Wasn't involved in any capacity at all. It was the best decision of them all.

I returned in 2023. And boom. LEAGUE's BEST UMPIRE (GOALS). Hey, screw you, we have a tough job. Just ask that guy that almost disappeared up an Essendon arse! Or that guy that screwed (Unintentionally) the Adelaide Crows. I back him! He has a tough gig.

After 12 months, I finally love Aussie Rules again. I'm back in love with footy.

2) I'm a teacher. If you don't have any idea how hard that is, reach out, lemme explain it to you.

3) Gaming. I'm a WWE Champion, a Starship Captain, a wholesome, YET DEADLY Cowboy.. and yet to figure out how to play AFL 23. Help pls?

It was a fun thread this week in the main, and we had our largest turnout and post count for weeks because of it.
