Because this is the Port board and we exist to criticise everything, even though in most cases we know SFA about the topic.

Oh no! Criticism of club that has won how many games in the past 2 years? Has lost how much money?

Without defending Cripps cause I have no idea how he operates (and it appears he's a prick of a coach), in general, what does his coaching ability have to do with his ability to fill a list mangers role.

Whats Stephen Wells (Geelong List Manager) coaching record like ?
Gubby Allen ?

I would think there would be a different skill set required for the jobs. I'm not saying Cripps has what it takes, but I don't know how we can judge based on the evidence to date. all we know is Port behind the scene has been very active selling itself as a location for free agents .... Cripps is heavily involved in this.

Ok so lets remove his coaching record and take a look at his record as an AFL list manager..... He has experience doing that right?

It's not necessaries just about Cripps and whether he'll do a decent job or not. It's that he failed at his previous job and he didn't get moved on. Maybe I'm being overly harsh on Cripps?

Unfortunately we aren't in a position to attract an experienced list manager (maybe that's your point).
David noble had no practical experience in the role either, who knows, perhaps he had flagged an interest in this sort of role and showed some aptitude at it so he had been skilled up to fulfil it.

This is the extent of _Me_'s "inside knowledge".

Travis Boak bats off Cats to stay loyal to Power:Greg Denham

HIGHLY sought after Port Adelaide midfielder Travis Boak appears certain to remain with the Power, with a new deal expected to be confirmed within a week.

Port Adelaide general manager of football operations Peter Rohde was scheduled to fly to Melbourne yesterday to start formal negotiations last night with Boak's management.

It is understood Boak, until recent days, had been undecided about his future, complicated by the pull of a strong "go-home" factor to rejoin his family, who are outside Geelong at Torquay.

It is understood Boak, 23, has decided to remain loyal to his first club, rejecting interest from several clubs in Victoria, with Geelong his strongest suitor.

Just want to say congrats guys as it appears you have staved us off and are set to re-sign boak. This is a great win for your club. A great show of loyalty on Boaky's part as it could have been so easy for him to come back home to family etc. Shows a lot about his character. No hard feelings hey. Good luck for the rest of the season and beyond :thumbsu:

Majority of cats posters have been level headed and reasonable on both boards. Small (&vocal) minority ruin it, same with every board I suppose.

Still not jumping for joy until Boak is confirmed.

Primus used the word leadership and Boak in the same interview. A good investigative journalist like Rooch has simply connected the dots. Granted, I'm not sure what he's drawn. It could be a fish with a dog's head.
