Said player played practice match 1 with a splint on his finger, then missed practice match 2 with a noted finger injury.

Match 2 was a couple of weeks before the court leak, so it's very possible he does have a finger issue.

The law is they can’t state anything. So to give a reason to player A or B isn’t playing in relation to the case isn’t a . They need to not say anything that may resort to the case being in contempt of the law.

The club isn’t trying to fool anyone and would more than likely have been told by the AFL/lawyers how to best handle the situation.

In the scheme of things a players injury pretend or otherwise is minor compaired to the issue at hand which no one can respond to …so I am unsure of what your real concern is.
